V20 build help

What is the black piece under Robert’s left thumb called? I purchased a new V and that piece is missing. I did email Cruzbike yesterday at the support email address. I thought if I knew what it was called, I’d check with my LBS for one. I can’t put the wheel on without it. I haven’t heard back from Cruzbike. I would prefer to pick up the piece and get the V on the road. It lets the dropout sit on the cassette axle. Otherwise, the axle is too large, it won’t fit. I might have wrong terminology.

So, the beautiful V sits in my bedroom. It is all together except for the front wheel. A pretty important thing. Thanks for any help.

Axle endcap. It'll be specific to the particular brand/model/over-locknut-dimension/TA-vs-QR of your hub, so it's unlikely an LBS will have it in stock, though they may be able to order it for you.

Bummer they won’t have one in stock. Now I just need to figure out my hub. Learning new things. Thank you.

Never say never, your local shop may surprise you (and me). Cruzbike HQ seems like the right source for that though ...

There's nothing Cruzbik-specific about that wheel. If you have access to another 700c QR rear wheel it could be pressed into service to get the new V on the road. That'd be my plan in your situation, since a never ridden new V20 staring at me from across the room would make me a bit nuts. But I've never been good at that delayed gratification thing ...

Local shop did not have the part. Cruzbike is getting one in the mail Monday. I do have a Silvio I can take from to get the V on the road. Great idea. Thank you.

I now know it is an axle end cap. Thank you.
