V20c derailleur hanger thread pitch, 4m bolt?-won't shift to 9 cog :-(

Hi,
Just completed my 1x conversion on my V20c. So Excited(Rolf Prima wheels, 2 Sram blips, 12sp KMC chain, Sram Eagle X0,9-52 KCNC cassette-XDR, 52 Stone chain ring)! Picked it up at the LBS and said it will not shift to 9T cog. His suggestions are machine spacer behind cassette .2-.3mm, try Sram chain, move derailleur closer to #9 cog. His comment was derailleur seems to have adequate inboard-outboard range, but will not shift to 9T cog reliably (my speed gear :)).
Designing/testing a new derailleur hanger to hopefully resolve the shifting.
Q: What is the thread pitch of the small bolt in the 4M bolt?
Picture attached of stock hanger with 4M bolt and my first prototype decreasing axle hole to derailleur hole distance by 4mm for your information.
Cheers and thanks in advance!

I may not know what I'm talking about.
But couldn't a threaded hole be machined into the derailleur stop?
Making it an infinitely adjustable derailleur hanger?

9-52 KCNC cassette
I wasn't aware that KCNC had one. I looked it up and the shop says it's explicitly not compatible with AXS in particular. No idea how that might be.
I have used e*thirteen 9-45 with AXS XPLR without issues. But 9-52 might be just a biiiit too tight. 9-50 wasn't enough?

You have that small screw that holds the hanger as long as the axle is not in place. If the hanger was able to pivot, you'd also need to make a slot for that little screw to slide through (ot leave that screw and have the hanger loose). Doesn't seem like a great quality of live improvement.

#9 (number 9) or 9t (nine teeth)?? I was wondering why a cog in the middle could be the problem, but you are talking about the smalles one?
I guess, you / the LBS will have checked limit screws, hanger alignment and chain length as possible issues? Chainring position (chain line)?

Hi All!
Here goes…
Just looking to get a number for the thread pitch of the 4mm hole in the stock hanger.
-looked at 9-50, but want maximum gear inch range(already compromising compared to my 2x setup-gear inch greedy)
-uh oh not compatible cassette? Did not realize that. Maybe the cassette will get returned and try an e-thirteen.
-Yes, my LBS is very good. He has helped me thru my unique gearing challenges. Always open to a double check.
Thanks!!!

You could ask AI then do a test on something other than your good part. That smallest of the holes (4 mm across) on the derailleur takes a 2.5 mm hex on my V20c and is a flat head bolt.

When I ordered a derailleur hanger from Cruzbike they sent me the wrong size (length) bolt. I ordered more and they sent me several that were mistakenly described by support as "M5 x 10 flathead bolt". But the bolts they sent take a 2.5 mm hex and do work.

Hi,
Update. Had LBS install an e*thirteen 9-52 cassette. Shifts well. Added a new extended tailbox for the season. Some fine tuning needed for blip placement and then I will be ready to ride! Thanks all for responses.

Looks awesome! I need to stop by sometimes to check out your great ride!

Wow! So much going on with all the 3d printed stuff too. Nice setup. Bacchetta has wireless blip holders. You could probably make your own if the default does not work out.

Thanks. Right now the blips are located in cutouts in the brake hoods. Had to move them back about .75 inches since my thumbs couldn’t reach easily. New Red hoods on order and will locate cutouts with a 3d printed template :)
