V20c disc brake adapter - solved

Does anyone know what disc brake adapter I need on the rear? I have 140 mm disc brake an SRAM Red (road) hydraulic caliper. @Robert Holler , @Jim Parker ?

If you have trouble finding a spacer, you could probably get one machined locally. Another option would be to make one from a hardwood and wrap in CF. The trick is to keep all attach points in line.

I have one coming from Amazon tomorrow. I’ll report how it works. Also available in red.

It can’t be moved left without grinding off some frame.
How about grinding off some of the adapter instead? When I bought my V20 the previous owner put post mount disc brakes and 160mm rotors on it by grinding a small bit of paint and aluminum off, but I use rim brakes now.

I’d pass grinding on the frame. Shimano adapter is on the way…..right? See how that works. If not, I could probably create a new adapter for you in CAD, but you would still need to get it machined after we verify fit. Just an idea…..

At the risk of asking a dumb question (seriously, I am terrible at visualizing such things), could you flip the adaptor the other way? Would the brake caliper still engage with the rotor? (I imagine you tried that already).

Matthew - that looks like a I.S. style caliper but the V20C mount is flat style.

I am not sure there is an adapter to convert International Standard calipers for a flat mount (?) but I may be mistaken.

Maybe I stand corrected:

Though I cannot say which one you would need. The brake adapter forest can be a difficult thing to navigate.

Thank You, Robert.
It's good to search for the right term (Flat Mount to Post Mount Adapter.) I have a Shimano one (similar to TRP's FF1-F140) coming in a few days. I'll keep y'all posted.

Looking forward to it Matthew. I know that as soon as I buy the adapters then a lovely rim brake version of fast wheels will become available on discount in my area.

Yay, problem solved!
BTW the new rear end provides more room for disc brakes, you could go up in size if you desired.
I also have a photo of the front brake with the included adapter set for 180 mm discs.
