Ventisit Squirming On Carbon FiberSeat

My Ventisit Comfort Cushion uses two Velco Strips down the middle to hold the cushion in place. The 3cm x 13cm cushion side strips have the "loops" and the cooresponding seat side have the "hooks. When riding the strips are not enough to prevent lateral movement of the cushion.

Out of curiosity I determined that the "hook" side of Velcro would not grip the Ventisit material while under pressure but the "loop" side would.

I applied several strips of "loop" side Velcro to the seat and placed the cushion on the seat. Under pressure of the rider the cushion was held firmly in place.

if you drill 4 -6 holes along the edge zip straps work great to hold the ventisit in place. if you like to take your pad off (one pad many bikes, like me) little S hooks also work great.

The problem is not the pad squirming on the seat pan but the pad squirming over itself. The comfort version has that one extra layer of ventisit material between the outside two and they just tend to float over each other continually, this was what sold me on getting the thinner version. As 3bs said zip ties are a good option but maybe try using a half dozen to zip tie the 3 layers to each other and see if that keep them from moving within themselves.

I use hot melt on the edges, to join three layers together.

I made the top half 1-ply, and left the bottom 2-ply by cutting the zipties holding the ventiseat together at the bottom, then sliding the ventiseat down from the top of the seat.

Near the small of the back, it transitions from 1->2 ply.
Seems to work well. I appreciate the extra padding near the bum, as it helps keep a better body-line.
