Here is a link to my Youtube link of my recent ride.

It is quite long, but you can check out different parts of the ride.
I really like the way the VIRB editors lets you overlay different dashboards on your screen to show you data
I had the VIRB camera mounted on a velcro strap at the very from of the V's boom.
It did vibrate loose a couple of times, so I will have to work on that in the future.
Enjoy!

Rough start

Looked like a rough start. Were you having trouble clipping in?

Also, where are the power numbers coming from? From a power meter, you got a Stages PM I think, or are these extrapolated numbers? The reason I ask is they seem a little high for the corresponding grade, cadence, speed, and heart rate but I need to go review my numbers to see if I'm just revising my own history or not.

Was this recent? It is cold and almost all the leaves are gone here...

Larry, that's pretty cool how

Larry, that's pretty cool how the camera shows the data, I like that.

I saw where you hit 52 mph, good job, I've only been able to get 48+ mph so far.

How editable is the video, can you cut and piece together segments without loosing the data?

This was using VIRB edit

Rick, Very easy to cut and splice video segments. Multiple dashboards to be able to use as well
Eric - Using Vector Pedals. It was this past Monday. Nov 3rd.
Before my 2 weeks off in Honduras I did a similar ride up 6% and steeper slopes. I could push about 200 watts at about 150bmp, 6% grade at about 6-7 mph. I think I lost some fitness the past two weeks in Honduras. All I could do was my little desk cycle just spinning mostly.
I had hoped to go all the way to the top of Mount Mitchell, but the Blue Ridge Parkway was closed do to a bunch of snow 2 days before that. Then I did the rest on the Wahoo Segment program, Pretty cool, but no video.
Yes - a little chilly and windy that day too. Most of the leaves are off the trees

Great stuff! The Virb

Great stuff! The Virb integration with Garmin data is a killer feature!

Makes me want to mount my camera again. Where is your Virb placed? On boom? At the BB?

Thanks Ivan: I have the VIRB mounted

with the velcro wrist strap at the very front of the boom, right at the bottom bracket.
But it eventually vibrated off, as you can see from the video. I had to stop several times to adjust and tighten it.
Earlier I had it mounted on the furthermost point of the slider bar, but it was really up pretty high, and then you see the peet and pedals flying by in the video, which is distracting at best.
I am going to fashion a bracket of some sort so it can be mounted at the very front and not come loose.
Will add pictures when it is finished.

Will it fit on the cross

Will it fit on the cross brace between the chain stays, just below the BB? That is where I usually mount my headlight.

Same here

Eric,

I have my light down there too; but I might surrender that spot to the RidEye next year when it arrives. But that is such a great spot for a light; I'm torn.

I think the headlight should

I think the headlight should be as high on the main extendable boom as possible, so you can light the road in front of you, and not blind oncoming cars or other riders! AND you can change it from flashing to solid beam whenever you want.
You need black cranks, not polished Al cranks like on the Quest V 1.0, otherwise you will "see the light" twice a revolution!
