Using my state-of-the-art measuring calipers, the V20 seat stay looks to be 22mm by 15mm wide. About the same as Super Slim reported on the S30. That is a 3/4 inch clamp shown in the photo.
Wow, that must represent the tremendous technological improvements that have taken place since I bought my tool set 41 years ago. It's just hard to keep up with technology these days.
Okay I finally got my flag mounted on my S30. It's a 6mm mount, which I now recommend getting the 1/4th, as they use the same poles, and just sand down one end to fit. So no weight savings here. I bought the 7/8ths and shimmed it with one wrap of cloth handlebar tape.
Ok, after having ridden to work a number of times with the flag, (23 miles each way) I was wondering if the drag from it affected my commute time, so I rode the route without it, and the answer is a resounding no. On a downhill segment run of 1mile, I was 8 seconds faster without the flag... for a commute those kind of savings are easily eaten up by missing a traffic light.
