ISO: S30 Handlebar Slider – Broken Clamp

Hey everyone,


Had a catastrophic failure on my S30; the integrated handlebar clamp on the slider snapped completely.


Seeing if anyone has an old straight slider (or even a curved one) sitting in a parts bin that they'd be willing to part with. My bike is the white S30 frameset. Just trying to avoid the $200 price tag for a new one if I can help it.

Happy to pay a fair price + shipping to Saugerties, NY (12477).

Condolences for your handlebar slider. Others can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the S40 and V20 3rd generation slider will also fit.

That failure looks to me to be consistent with an over-torqued bolt causing high tension on the connection. I'm not saying that definitively. I'm saying it's good idea to use a torque wrench on those connectors.

You may want to edit your title to say "S30".

Very possible that it was. I can be a little ham-handed. I've never owned a torque wrench, but I guess it's time. Appreciate the insight. Also, I don't know how to edit the title of this post.

I got in touch with CRUZBIKE and they have straight sliders in stock. I will probably just but a freshy.
