Water Bottle Loss Prevention

As mentioned on a previous thread, I was experiencing my 25oz CamelBak water bottles randomly ejecting themselves from their cages when full of fluid. I received some great suggestions from Jason and others, but thought I would start with a simple solution. This less than $3 investment seems to work, two 5M-50mm socket cap bolts. I wrapped them in shrink tube since they are steel.

good for you, my shoulders haven't gone into the position to remove a bottle from that location since I dislocated one playing rugby

Oops ...I meant to include this...
I intend to put side access cages here with the opening at the top just
as a precaution but I've had this method in place over about 1000km with no trouble.

This is pretty ingenious. Just wondering... does the bottle, especially the mouth piece, get dirty because the bottle is so low to the ground and with the debris kicked up by the front tires?

HiYa Michael, I haven't really noticed to be honest. The long Cruzbike bag that I velcro under there, gets a bit but not much.
I'm usually loaded up so for me it's putting weight as close to the centre of the bike as possible and being convenient as well.
There are some pics in a new thread I've just posted Loaded up sorry I don't know how to send you there from here.
