What size for disc brake ?

Hi everybody,
I've just ceceived my beautiful new softrider and I want to switch immediately the front brake for a disc brake.
With the softrider fork, is it possible to mount a 185mm or 203 mm disc ? or 160mm is the recommanded size ?
Just to confirm : Do I need a rear brake for the fork ?

I have a 203 mm disk rotor on my Rohloff. I used a rear brake caliper even if it is the front wheel. This brake brakes so well that i already tipped over and hurt myself once, + driven on only the front wheel twice. Be GENTLE on the brake lever.

I put 160 rotors on the Quest. Disks brakes are so strong, you don't need a lot of leverage (rotor radius).

I will use an AVID BB7 with a 160mm disk.
