Visibility - Visibility - Visibility

I can tell you that the yellow color is awesome and the key for me is visibility. I would even like to see it changed to be a bit brighter. After all my years of riding regular rode bikes and having the "cool" colored jersey with tricked out graphics, those days are over. I want visibility. I am looking for jerseys now that are the new high visibility neon-ish yellow. This is what the fire trucks in the US have gone to because this color is much more visible; and look how big a fire truck is. Construction workers have abandoned the safety orange for this new neon-ish yellow also.

Remember, on this bike, the Vendetta, the highest point (the top of your head) is at most only approx 4 feet off the ground and your silhouette is much much less as from behind you don't have the full view of your legs, back, shoulders helmet, etc like on a rode bike; where the highest point can be up to and over 6 feet.

For visibility, don't forget

For visibility, don't forget head and tail lights, too. I've got a headlight, a tail light on my trunk back and a tail light on my helmet.

You can buy glow-in-the-dark paint. I've thought about painting a bike with that stuff, too. :D

The one powerful reason to

The one powerful reason to sticking to one colour is to create visual brand identity and awareness on the web. 'Oh that yellow one, yep, that would be the Vendetta'. Sticking to one colour creates a flock of them, so to speak, especially when there are so many purmutations of bent.

Oh, and JAE1969, I started with a more lemon yellow, but when you see the golden one beside the yellow the comparison is plain, the golden yellow looks rich, composed, confident. The warmth in the colour is inspiring.

Don't get me wrong...I like the color. Do you have any pictures of the lemon yellow you would be willing to share. Solely for the enjoyment of us regular "posters"? LOL

The V on my facebook page header is of the lemon yellow variety. Its not a very lemon colour really, unless sitting next to the more golden yellow version. Colours! A million colours and only few thousand words to describe them with! :)

They are having to tweak the hydroforming process, because I have not yet approved the samples from it. Looking to do that inside a couple of weeks, then another four to six weeks production, most of the other stuff is well underway.

Hydroforming is like Alchemy to me

I watched a program on the Discovery Channel once where the hydromforming process was shown when buidling the Harely Davidson V-Rod frame. It's an amazing process and I have to imagine that initial set-up cost is very high, however the advantages are obvious as John already explained.

John, I don't have a Facebook account so I won't be able to look at the lemon Vendetta on your page.

Thanks. I like it. Great visibility. But I don't dislike the current color either.

awestruck

Hydroform + disc brakes is strengthening the case for me to upgrade from the Silvio.

Concur that frame visibility "visual volume" is important for safety purposes.

Looking forward to seeing photos of the painted hydroformed frame.

V-disc

When did disc brakes enter the disc-ussion? That...would...be...awesome, especially for all weather and rando riding, and would clear up the fork area with those cludgy dual pivots (high tech...right...like 20yrs ago ;)

Di2 compatible

Fully Di2 compatible would be a goal, same with the Silvio, just need a place to securely mount the Di2 battery. Those Di2 TT brake/2 button shifters would be awesome, and clean up the Bull-horned V's, removing the cable entry hole issue.

maximum distance from seat to head rest

Can anyone tell me what the max. distance is from the seat to where the head rest would support the base of your head, just above the neck? I enjoy the discussions from the forums. I do not yet have a cruzbike, but would love to have one by next spring. If i sit in a chair and mark on the wall where the base of my head is, the measurement is 33" (838.2mm). This is probable an important factor in my choice between the Silvio or Vendetta.

Thanks

Hi John,
I know there is an adjustment to the head rest. I wasn't sure if I would be able to get enough adjustment for my rather long body. As I mentioned to the best I can tell from the seat to the base of my head is 33" (838.2mm). Can I get that much adjustment.

Thanks Again
Rod

Ah ha, yes you do have a long

Ah ha, yes you do have a long body. To get that length we are down to about 100mm insertion of the headrest into its supports - I would not like to go less than that.
