So the use of spoke lights are generally seen as an added safety feature to make you more visible at night but I'm looking for the bling factor. I've done many 24hr races and I've always want to run some kind of LEDs on my wheels as they spin because it would add to the fun of the event to get some color out there. If I was on a team I go for one of those super heavy LED light boards that produces full animated movies inside your wheels but that's a bit too much weight for a solo rider doing dozens of laps.
LED light requirements
Light weight
Bright enough to be seen or else what's the point
Mounting via spokes, valve stem or adhesive
So far I've tried the Nite Ize SpokeLit but they are kind of bulky and my spoke spacing isn't close enough. I think they are meant for kids bikes and bikes with 32 spokes.
