Wheels for S40

I recently purchased a S40 version 3 and I am looking to upgrade the wheels as the ones that came on it dont match and are really "basic" wheels.

Can anyone share their experience with some wheelsets they have used for an upgrade? Will any disc wheel basically fit on the S40 Cruzbike? I am looking at a set on Bontrager Aeolus Pro 37's or 51's.

Also, any upgrades anyone would recommend for the bike that you found to be a good investment.

Thanks for the help, looking for to getting settled in and putting some mile on the bike.

Tony

When I built my V20 I used Far Sport and was pleased with the service and price ($ Canadian). They may be more in US given the tarriffs in place. I was able to get the same rim depth front and rear and them tensioned the spoke the same on both wheels vs higher tension on the rear which I found on some wheels. I have been happy with them though only had ~ 500km on them when I crashed in May and have been recovering since. The wheels survived better than I did!

I ordered:
Kaze Disc--28mm wide DT240 New Ratchet EXP
Rim finish: UD Matte
Model Number: Kaze 45

From one Tony to another, welcome to Cruzbike! I’m sure you will enjoy it.
You should be able to use any standard wheelset. I don’t think you’ll have any problems with tire sizes up to 38, but anything larger may not fit on front.

Thru axle is best don't adapt to quick release. Most modern carbon disc brake wheelsets will be thru axle.
If the dropouts will allow for a thru axle to get thru i absolutely will but I am not sure if there is enough space or if the opening is big enough
on this model. Anyone know if the Gen 3 dropouts will allow for thru axle?

Sorry I thought you said your S40 was thru axle. If the bike has quick release you can't convert it to thru axle. The wheelset link I sent would work with either because their hubs come with adapters to be backwards compatible with quick release.
