Where do you find...BB plugs?

Sunday, I lost one of the plastic plugs that go in the donor bike's BB holes. Both are just barely held in and I had it in my mind to fix them in either with some hot-glue or perhaps a light thru-bolt. Forgot...and now one is gone.

Anybody got a good source for a replacement? Home Depot? Lowes? LBS?

I'd think you might have to look at someplace like McMaster Carr.

The technical term is 'furniture glide' - it is the plug that goes in the end of a leg so it can slide on the floor, used in most steel tube construction desks or other furniture.

LOL! I would have never looked at furniture glides.

Too much engineer brain here...I would have been searching the Cap Plug catalogs...McMaster Carr...Grainger...

Thanks guys.

Mark, you always up and online at 4am? :D

Don't get me started on Ace Hardware! The one only 6 blocks from my house had everything including a couple "little old men" who knew where every screw and nut and garden accessory piece was hiding and what would fix whatever you had broken. Went out of business last year...couldn't compete with both a Lowe's and a Home Depot only 1/2 mi away. :x

Furniture glides at Home Depot/Lowes don't get big enough for the BB. Am continuing my search but probably will either end up ordering online or "making do" with something contrived. Of course, if I still had my lathe, I could have turned a couple of very nice ones out of hardwood...even properly threaded. Too good for the likes of a Wally-world bike though. :)

Trapdoor.. Sorry your Ace had to fold.. I'm lucky so far, we still have one like you had. If you can't find it there you don't need it. I picked up some black push in plugs.. We also have a lowes less than 2 miles away, but they don't know a nut from a bolt.. take care Bill
