Moving and need to free up room. Offering for sale a rare S30. For those not in the know, this is a later model Silvio without the front shock. Only 100 made. You can read up on it in the threads. At the 30 degree angle, it’s upright enough to ride in the city but laid back enough to avoid recumbutt and be appropriate for long distance riding. I tricked this out for Randonneuring and rode PBP on it. You can see some videos of the bike and the ride here.

I can offer this bike with the dynamo and light setup or with the original wheelset and without the light kit which I’ll have to then part out. All the bags and extras are included regardless of which way you go.

Asking $3,600 with the power/light rig, $3,000 without but also open to offers.

Specs/upgrades included:
  • Thor ergonomic carbon seat with ventasit pad and neck rest
  • SRAM Eagle 10-50 cassette and 42 tooth x-synch with shorter 165mm cranks. SRAM Force shifters modified with 12 speed kit. The gear ratio is nice and low for steep pitches... you could go down to a 38 tooth chainring, but sub 100% ratio available is already pretty good.
  • 160mm mechanical disc brakes for extra stopping (original came with 140)
  • Hunt SuperDura alloy wheels with SON Deluxe Dynamo rear hub for power generation (quick release hubs)
  • SON Edlux front light mounted on stalk at the bottom bracket and rear light mounted to neck rest
  • Happy to throw in a set of used Look Keo2 pedals... you may see the bike pictured with SPDs or Speedplay Frogs but those aren't included
Add ons:

  • Sling bag wired with Sinewave USB charger running off the Dynamo
  • Twin bags perfect for carrying a camelback (can't remember the make)
  • Radical Designs behind seat bag
  • Backup waxed chain so you can swap chains and wax them
Other kit that comes with the bike (or can swap out):
  • If you don't want the dynamo, I can swap out the Hunt wheels with the original MAVIC Ksyrium wheels that came with the bike if you don’t want the dynamo and light. Those are pictured in some of the photos below.
  • Original two part seat and pad
  • Original headrest bars (I've never tried to install so I can't vouch for whether all the clamps and hardware are available)
  • Front half fender – this is a planet bike fender that’s no great shakes, but I have created fork and break bolt mounts that work
Wear and tear
  • The Schwalbe Pro One 30mm tubeless tires have 1-2,000 miles. I swapped the front which sees a lot mor wear at about 1,000. The rear is closer to 2,000. I expect the sealant's pretty dried up.
  • Some dings and digs on the brake hoods from some pavement contact. Frame is relatively scratch free, but shows some wear ... cable rub.
  • The Hunt rear wheel is worn on the surface from where the banana bag was rubbing for a long ride before I fixed it. The drive wheel got a ding when I hit a pothole and was under warranty by hunt and the rim was replaced about 300 miles ago… with 2,000 or so on the hub and spokes.
  • Can’t speak for the milage on the ksyrium wheels or on the bike. The original owner had a vendetta he rode most of the time and got this to ride more sociably in weekly group rides.
Shipping options
  • Would prefer a pickup in Boston but could also deliver. With enough notice, I could drop it off anywhere from Montreal to Philly. Shipping it is possible but will be a slight ordeal – I’d likely bike ship in my EVOC case and have you ship the case back. Bonus, the Thor seat doesn’t fit in the case and needs to ship separately! Alternatively a buyer could pay my LBS to box it up, and ship it, which might involve separate boxes for the wheels and seat… or maybe the bike and wheels could go in one box If more fundamentally disassembled. I'd guess it's going to cost $250-350 to ship it depending on where.

Just curious, how much does it weigh?

does this model accommodate a 5’9” rider?

My DF is super not a rando bike and I may be ready to get back to it, reactivated my number, and I’m feeling inspired again!
