Will the A4X Take 700X35C wheelset?

So I am considering snagging a A4x and just wanted to see if anyone else has tried out 700c on theirs. I have a spare wheelset that I'd like to swap out when riding locally on the roads/paths and save the smaller 650b for any gravel paths I end up trying out.

I'm hoping my 700cX35 will fit. Has anyone else tried out similar?

Cheers

Theoretically, based on a max tire clearance for 584-57 as advertised on the A4X page, you should be able to fit 622-38 tires. But it’s probably best to ask directly the good team at Cruzbike, just tag Robert in this thread.

Yes those tires/wheels should fit just fine. I am assuming you want to swap wheels as well? (The stocks are 650b's)
Thanks Robert, yes basically use the larger ones on all the flat river path runs we have around my area and use the smaller original ones for packing the bike up on the train to take outside the city, etc.

I assume if you use the same cassette with the 700cc wheel, you will have a slightly higher final ratio thus more speed, right?

I believe so but depends on tire size I think. Apparently, a 700cX35 is only about two percent taller than the stock 650cX47 so in my case I don't think it will make a massive difference in the end.

SetupApprox. outer diametervs 650b × 47
650b × 47~678 mmbaseline
700c × 25~672 mmabout 1% smaller
700c × 35~692 mmabout 2% taller
700c × 47~716 mmabout 5.6% taller
