There are two screws that attach the Quest's rack to the seat tube through what appear to be welded nuts of some sort. One of those two screws came to me with the Allen wrench flats "pre-boogered" (an aviation maintenance term) to the point that I cannot get the screw tight enough to keep it from working loose while riding. I can spin it in the direction to loosen it but there is not enough left to the internal wrenching flats to tighten it.
I'm assuming that these are metric sized fasteners and, given my recent trials and tribulations trying to order 4 metric bolts for a motorcycle, I'm wondering if anyone knows the exact spec. for these two screws. The thread pitch is what caused problems when I was ordering motorcycle bolts. Although there were 3 different thread pitches in that case, most websites only listed coarse and fine so it was tough to determine what I was ordering.
