V20c from a Silvio 2.0 after 12.5 years

I've been riding a Silvio 2.0 for 12.5 years now... this was one of the first build posts in this forum back then in 2013. I got my Silvio 2.0 just before Ratz did, and back then I posted a lot on the forum (see below for the photo I took just after building it up. Since then it got the newer boom, carbon seat, disc brakes, carbon wheels and 11 speed upgrade in the early years. I have since been fairly quiet on this forum for the past 12 years... unlike stalwart and prolific contributors like Ratz and Larry from back then!

Perhaps mine is one of the oldest Silvio's still on the road with it's leaf suspension and flexible carbon stays. With the extension the boom is effectively 20.5-21" long. I'm not tall at 5'7" but I love this position. I think mine was the first hydroformed frame that was the big step up from the Silvio 1.0 - here it is on Singapore shores. It has basically stayed the same - no upgrades for 9-10 years. It's a testament to Cruzbike design that it still looks so good.

The reason I am out of hibernation for this post is that I just got my hands on a V20c frameset and I am looking forward to building it up over the next month! My Silvio 2.0 was known to be 29 deg seat angle and I always felt I could go a little lower so here we go!! Of course, my front end is quite heavy so I'm sure the new bike will be more stable too.

WELCOME BACK! You were an inspiration in my quest to own a Silvio 2.1 and I purchased mine in 2014. It now resides in the Cruzeum with Larry O. Thanks for the memories! I hope you enjoy your new V20c! Blessings!
