Hi Paul, perhaps if you post Hi Paul, perhaps if you post a side picture of you on your Silvio holding your handlebars you could get further feedback and diagnosis.

    Di2 on Silvio 2

Brilliant mod and write-up. Brilliant mod and write-up. Thanks very much! A note on "trim" with my Silvio setup with SRAM Force 2013 and the chain extender: my FD has trim but it is completely unnecessary. Perhaps the longer chain with chainstay extension decreases the chain angle such...

Silvio 2.0 Journey, Build, and Ride Video

Bottle Cage Mounting I have mounted two water bottles underneath the fiberglass-carbon seat by drilling holes in carefully measured locations. A small dremel drill bit made quick and neat holes. I selected locations high up in an aerodynamic position, however I will not be able to reach these...

FD cable and ferrule Jeremy, interesting about your ferrule. Maybe I used the brake cable ferrule (slightly wider diameter) to get it to stay there. I can't remember but I am sure the holes would be the same size. Future 2.0 owners may want to play around with different possibilities.

    Vendetta or Silvio?

Phillip, if your X-seam is Phillip, if your X-seam is 38.5" you could fit the chainstay extension but only just. Your boom would be horizontal (mine has a slight downward slope) and your handlebars would be very low and near your body. It would rather tight in the cockpit if you were overweight...

I am working on taking some I am working on taking some suitable pictures with a white background (that's the hard part) to send to John for the product page. No drops or crashes yet - better stay that way before the pics! ;) Two Fibre Flares (http://fibreflare.com) are on both seat stays...

Elliot, it's important to Elliot, it's important to measure your X-seam. Mine is 42" and I am just under 5'8". You can see my chainstay angle is closer to vertical right? So for you, lengthening the boom a little for your longer legs would not drop the BB height by much. Suppose your X-seam is...

New Silvio - First ride pass the "Wright brothers test"

Having ridden my Silvio 2 for Having ridden my Silvio 2 for a few weeks, the only thing I would have done differently is MAYBE gone for 165mm cranks instead of my regular 170mm. This would be to give my legs a little more clearance with the handlebar. As I have it now my low handlebars mean...

John, yes the housing slides John, yes the housing slides through the hole in the BB clamping bracket, but when you put a ferrule on the end of the housing, it stops! I assumed that was by design as it fits so neatly and firmly. Since one end had this cable stop, I thought I should use the...

New Silvio - First ride pass the "Wright brothers test"

Looking good!! Nice to see Looking good!! Nice to see more Silvios in the family, with quite a few of us choosing SRAM! I am liking my 11-32 WiFli setup. With my 53/39 crank I can pedal and balance up a hill at slowest 7kph now. As I improve I should be able to balance down to 5kph which would...

Second Road Ride Thanks for the input on how long it took you to get up to speed guys! Took my second road ride late tonight when traffic is low in the Singapore city. I have my bars taped up, cables neat, and a second Zefal spy. All this makes me feel more ready for longer rides. I...

At last, the first ride on my Silvio 2.0

Still Works Though my upper and lower sliders are moving independently, my effective internal cable length is not changing because I am running the cable housing from cable stop to cable stop (from hole in dérailleur stalk to cable adjuster on upper boom). Thus when the distance between...

Doug, isn't the effect the Doug, isn't the effect the same given the way I have run mine, without the additional clamp on cable stop? I run the cable housing all the way to the braze-on adjuster making it act as a cable stop. The other end has a ferrule and is inside the hole in BB. Therefore...

I have had no problems with I have had no problems with my FD shifting. I run my compressionless shift cable housing from BB (with ferrule) all the way to the barrel adjuster.

    which silvio extension?

You would fit either so your You would fit either so your choice would be based on whether you want a higher BB and thus lower handlebars (150mm), or a lower BB (100mm). Aero and learning curve would factor in. The sizing chart is for 100mm extension. Look at several of our pics and our given...

    back problem

Photos Yup, it's the angle that the photo is taken from that's important. Stand around the middle of the bike, slightly towards the front-end of it. Then squat down so that the camera is at the level of the seat pan. That will get a nice angle of pics of the bike, or for you on the bike...
