    Maria's sister has passed away

"...things hoped for..." "...faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen... Yet what we have all seen is that Maria's sister was deeply loved. What a wonderful family and what a wonderful legacy. May I add my condolences and prayers for Jenny and her...

Spring is HERE!! lets see your RIDE!!

Okayyyy..... Maybe it's trick photography or maybe it's just me, but in the above pics doesn't it look like trplay has trained his Silvio to stand up ON ITS OWN? Wish I could do that! (great build btw!) KM

    Mirror quest

RearViz Those do look good. Very ingenious. They look like they would actually be far better for recumbents than for df's. May have to give them a try myself.

    reading the tea leaves

Would this be practical? It seems lots of people still love the Silvio 1.5 as a decently fast road and touring bike that truly does 'climb real good'. But, it's impractical for Cruzbike to revive it as a standard offering. So, maybe take orders for it until there are enough to warrant a...

    looking for component suggestions

My 2 centavos For lots of hills, a way around a triple is a compact double with a SRAM Rival or Apex 11-32 cassette and the Wi-Fli derailleur. Decent deals on various websites for groupsets--as Noah mentioned above, also GloryCycles.com, Art's Cyclery, etc. Good luck! Kline

Thanks ratz Thank you ratz. I had looked at Jagwire's website but missed that one. Will order one along with the Tektro brake washers. Great build diary you put on BROL. I have studied your build series along with Ivan's, Jeremy's, and virtually all others. Still learning...and will be...

    Newbie build question

Hmmm Yeah that looks right. There was probably one that came with the frame when new. I believe the seller had the components removed by her LBS who likely didn't keep it with the frame. I will just have to keep looking. Will check with my LBS to see if they have any. thanks again!

Threaded barrel adjustor Hi Jeremy, thanks! Glad to hear I wasn't imagining things. I've looked online and can't seem to stumble across the appropriate barrel adjustor for this. Any suggestions? Your 2.0 looks great, btw. Nice job, and especially so for your never having built up a...

    Newbie build question

Dummy question(s) of the day: Wasn't sure where to post this but a 'new to building up a bike' thread seemed like a good choice... Finally starting to build up the Silvio 1.5 that I bought used, frame only. Looking at the FD cable routing, the cable stop (or is it a shifter boss?) for it...

    my silvio journey

Learning curve I'll second what Ian said. Watch all the videos you can find and all the comments on the forum and do what they say. You may be a prodigy and get it first time out but if you're more like me you may be A) seriously convinced you wasted your money on that contraption and B)...
