    Opening up Pandoras Box

Standby the parts list from my new build project is coming. One of the goals was to offer lower-cost options for the cool stuff. I'm building the mide tier (or so I think) and will document the high end and affordable end. While there's a little of that diversity in the design thread, I have...

I never look back, darling. It distracts from the now, A V20c design journal

Getting close now, all cleaned up and organized. Still missing one set of parts. Busy work week, so I think I'll be limited to finishing up the Bill of Materials for the spreadsheet and posting it with the actual builds and some of the deviations. Should begin the actual build next weekend...

Ok fast forward 2 hours of Di2 software upgrades and tuning of the drive train (don't ask) and we have a finished product. Still not please with the busted bolt; but I can't argue with the finished product. With luck we can get some people through the system and learn to ride.

Ok now the fun part. Shimano makes and 11-40T 11 speed cassette so I though sure let's give her some climbing legs we'll put a 36x46 on the front and and 11x40 on the back. Billy goat time with enough to go fast down hill; If we ride this with a DF pace line we might be able to hang on the...

Funny things happen when you head in one direction and find a problem. I was getting the Silvio 2.1 (aka S29) ready to be more attractive to sell, and I discovered she'd got her last transmission permanently mounted. I was going to put a fresh Bottom Bracket in when I discovered that the bolt...

ISO: Cruzbike V20 Frameset - Rim Brake

Yes sorry about that guys we do have to let new people into the forums. When they fill the form out like a human they get it. Most however are two badly filled out to be humans; it's about 20 signups per day. In the last 3 weeks; 2 real humans

    "raising the bar" on V20c

To my eye the entire boom is simply biased too far back. push the whole boom assembly 1-1.5 inches forward and it should pivot up to a more stable. position. With that much leverage being that far back; steering is going to be really twitchy.

QR RIM Or Disc (side mount) ViscoSet is new to me. (Appears stock now on some of the CB Lineup) Read the article, and It appears that the headset works pretty much on any bike with cups and bearing races. Pretty cool; it kind of makes me want to test it on the older bikes. Jim and I could...

    Cruzbike weights

I think that has more to do with the parts variability on the complete bike package for the v20c, Robert's been sourcing parts from high and nigh, meaning random weights so if you quote it someone will complain.

This question is blasphemous - V20 Seat Angle

Depends on the install mine is 20degree in the spin because I make a it that way; but you shoulders are rotated forward and that's the point that causes drag. Measure height of shoulder from ground and height of butt from ground. Subtract (shoulder - butt) and you have the size of your wind...
