    Fanny pack seat bag

Found a nice fanny pack at a thrift store and found it works great as a seat bag. I bolted this one on but might try Velcro later for quick release. Jack

    SRAM Red Noise

If you run SRAM Red and are bothered by the noisy drive I may have the solution for you. SRAM Red has a reputation for being noisier than Campy or Shimano. I did not experience a mechanical clicking noise it is a loud buzzing that could not be eliminated. High gears were not bad but lower...

    Quest451 with Quest 559 chainstay

Hi, A customer decided on wanting the option of 559 wheels after purchasing a Quest 451. The answer, you can see, 559 chainstay replacement. Because of the given stature of the athleticle rider the shorter slider bar was retained and is actually needed at its upmost position...

Does anyone have a Quest in CT??

I am considering the purchase of the Quest recumbent bike but I would like to try one. The nearest dealer to me is in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately that is too long of a haul for me with my work schedule. Would anybody be willing to have me over to try to try their bike? Thanks, Dwight

So the Quest tinkering has begun...

Loved Nanda's pictures of the Quest 406 he built. I've been playing with my Quest 559, too. I bought a bunch of test parts for re-doing my "Red bike" kit bike, but enjoyed the Quest so much on my recent charity ride with Tom that the parts are all going on my Quest. It's got my WTB...

    Partial Quest fold

No picture yet but it works great. Remove rear wheel ,seat and handle bar mast, unbolt rear shock. Now just rotate swing arm. I did this on a short trip and had plenty of room for the Silvio and all my kayak fishing stuff in a short bed mini truck. Jack

wahoo, almost done! - a few assembly questions, though.

After a few weeks trying to find a suitable donor, I settled on getting the sofrider V2K frame as nothing was showing up on craigslist that would be suitable. I'm quite happy I did, as the seat mounting is much cleaner and the rear forks are already spaced to take my old front wheel so I don't...

    Stealth Mode!

Hello fellow Sofriders. I'm a recent Sofrider convert after a several year recumbent apprenticeship on a short wheel base M5 20/20. So, what made me buy a Sofrider when I already had an armchair ride? My mountain bike! Out of sympathy for my family who had agreed to accompany me on a 30km...

    Silvio Trunk

I finally have my Silvio (CBSV-072) on the road. I bought the bike used and made a few changes to match my requirements and taste. Having spent a long time in the military (mostly in logistics and tech support) I hate to ride anywhere without the minimum support resources. I installed an Old...

    Maintenance tips

Hi all! I've been fine tuning the Silvio for another season of riding and came across some tips that might be helpful: 1. I've always had a bit of a problem with the air shock loosing air... I realized that the valve is just a standard car tire type valve, so it is easy to replace. Go to any...

    Mudguards on 26" Quest?

Is that possible? I've looked very closely at Spin Cyclz' pictures from a different thread: At the rear, clearance should not be an issue (?), but are there any places to attach the struts? At the front, clearance between fork and tyre is reported to be very limited, so I'm assuming that it...
