V20 Vendetta Gear setting and uphill

Hi jeong congratulations and welcome. The gearing for your vendetta is as you would pretty much for your df. So terrain dependant. Close ratio flat lands to make the most of your thoroughbred steed. With maybe the extreme ends covered more if you’re really climbing long big hills at low...

Slim it was great. It went on so long I was tempted to stop and grab the phone. Two days later and I’m still agog. Anyhow the vendetta calls. It’s sunny of course slight nor’easter and around 22 deg. The sun glinting on the water . What can I do. I’ll start wi5h sixty.

    Tubeless tires anyone?

Inner tubes on my fatbike weigh 1.5 kg. No brainer to go ghetto tubeless. Sunringle rims run 4-5 psi. Mtn bike plus tyres too no brainer. But the benefits of tubeless on road wheels are less plus the mess. Schwalbe Pro one v latex and Conti s is marginal. Still if pesky wire flats are...

An S40 in China. Loving the bike :)

Exercise caution. Speed can bite. If you can ride regular tight figure eights. Resume pedalling after fast descents. Put your bike on a white line and have zero woh Nellie moments then roger go for it. Your handling did look good to me especially the girl stepping out and low speed people...

Ha slim I paddle a surfski and fishing kayak. Nine months ago I had a large bull shark glide under my ski checking me out. It made me nervous as fish food. But to be attacked is incredible bad fortune and does not happen much in our pristine port Stephens waters. I don’t actually live in...

    bikist dog

On the weekend I had a most remarkable experience . A black cockatoo flew 1 to 2 m away from me for around 4 klm. It called quietly as if trying to communicate. At first I thought it may have been trained by our Aussie magpies but no it was content to lope along beside in front and behind...

An S40 in China. Loving the bike :)

Thanks. Very interesting to see modern China. See not looking is universal. All those dead bodies left there after cycling accidents lol. Really sleeping on the job on concrete. Next stop ........... Apologies accepted. No roadie shall pass. Lol. Great handling. Doubt I’d be any better. So...

If I can get my 20 min power up to 375 watts I'll do Sebring 24

Rojo you are right sheer guts from your headspace is 95% of achieving your goal at your level. The other 10% though is a lot of hard gutsy work. Clearly you are capable know how to suffer and are tougher than most. You don’t necessarily need that 375 watt barrier in front of you. 105%...

    Garmin lights on the V

See post 19. The brain bag has a pocket. It slips over the paddle shaped frame. I used plastic clamps supplied originally with both my bikes to secure aluminium frame to headrest. I would not ever drill holes through headrest bars.

Well slim mine are still being manufactured so design shine that away. Lol. Also the lezyne is much lighter no pun oh ok intended. ....... . And far more versatile in its fitting. Port Stephens is a jewel. Why just now I waved to the dolphins whom for my trouble added blue swimmer crabs to...

    Mark B's S 40 Build

I used trp sl 160 mm rotors with shimano 160 mm IS mounts both were rear mounts. That was on vendetta v20 Personally I think 160 front 140 rear rotor size minimum would suffice. Guess it’s funds and what’s in the spares box. Hope that helps. Interesting to hear what your thoughts will be on...

    S40 finally assembled and ready!

Pollock wait till you’re out on the actual road to see the benefit of mbb encased in solid goodness. If you’re new expect a learning curve that is steep but rewarding.

    Garmin lights on the V

Aluminium flat bar frame shaped like a paddle. Used four plastic headrest clamps supplied by cruzbike. So far nil issue. I just bent the aluminium bar to suit the pocket shape of brain bag and then attached the “handle” of the paddle to cruzbike clamps directly. No cross member in middle. Bag...
