    Discovery.com - 6 Unforgettable Week-Long Bike Treks - Photo with Cruzbike Silvio

Great Photo Ken, I have not yet read the article, but what is interesting in the photo is that one would have to look hard to see that one of these bikes is not like the others. Your Silvio really blends in with the crowd with you standing next to it.

    Silvio 2.0 Picture Thread

Ivan - Looking Good! Ivan, you look good on the Silvio. I wasn't sure how the low angle of the boom would affect the position of the handlebar, but I really like the way it looks; very aero. If you look at my avatar, you can see how much higher my handlebar is. Of course, I am riding the v1.0...

    RAAM T Shirt?

Thanks, John. I'll do that. If it goes anywhere, let's be sure to give credit to Lisa (that is TheBean's real name, right?). It was her idea after all :-)

    RAAM T Shirt?

Hey Bean I have more than two decades experience in the visual arts, so I'd be happy to work up a design that would work well in one or two colours. If there is enough interest, who knows...maybe it could be made into a reality. The photo is amazing and the stats are inspiring. I'm sure...

    Silvio 2.0 at the beach

Hi Tiggertoo, It is my Hi Tiggertoo, It is my experience that riding the Silvio, the shifters are operated as if you are riding in the drops. I ride with Campagnolo shifters which have the downshift button as opposed to the levers found on SRAM and Shimano (yes, I realise these are...

    Silvio 2.0 at the beach

I'll volunteer! I'll ride the bike and someone can video tape me doing so. So who is good with a camera?

    First Impression- not so good

good advice, doug Replacing the entire frame is probably a good way to go, especially since you can never tell what kind of stresses the frame may have endured. Eric, on a side note, my wife and I carry USAA insurance and they have been great in taking care of us with two auto accidents...

    First Impression- not so good

Cruzbike Cushions The design is very good and the material is much stronger and wear-resistant than ai would have guessed. What I like is that it is machine washable. As for the seat, mine is aluminum and is an integrated part of my Silvio frame. I like the look of the fiberglass and carbon...

    Silvio 2.0 Handlebars

Have you tried this? I can't copy and paste the link using my wife's Nook, but how about using a shim from www.problemsolvers.com? It sees to me this would expand your options without having to search for a handlebar that will work with CoMotion's Rohloff shifter.

    First Impression- not so good

BB INSTALLATION I may be incorrect on this one, but did you have the BB shell chased and faced? In my experience, it is a rare occasion when a new frame does not require this preparatory step.

    Tires for Clyde's

John Z... How do you like te 28's? Can you compare them to a narrower tire?

    Tires for Clyde's

700 x 25 Gatorskins on mine But with two punctures within a week give me reason to think the flat protection isn't as great as I had hoped.

    Silvio 2.0 - first ride

compared to the v1 Silvio I am curious about how much more efficient this iteration is compared to what I ride.

My Silvio 2.0 Frame Set Arrived Today

I shouldn't offer advice here...sorry. In my mind, I know that aligning alloy dropouts on an aluminum frame by bending is a bad idea. The guys I know work with steel, and I never even thought to mention that. I would not alter the frame in any way other than standard practice of facing and...

My Silvio 2.0 Frame Set Arrived Today

I know a couple I know a couple framebuilders, one of which advised me that he sees no need for such a tool. The traditional method of using tools like Campagnolo "bells" is precise. However, you are looking to widen the spacing by removing material from the dropout. In this case, I would...

My Silvio 2.0 Frame Set Arrived Today

dropout facing A good shop with a skilled mechanic will have facing tools and will probably charge no more ghan $30 for this service. I have "faced" dropouts with a Dremel fitted with a cylindrical grinding bit and a custom made collet to ride in the dropout slot. Done carefully, you can get an...

    production numbers

piggybacking on tiggertoo's comment Let's face it, some bike shops don't want to get involved in anything outside the norm. If you have a good rapport with a particular shop's staff, you are more likely to find that they will take on the project. I have visited several shops in my area and...

Silvio 2.0 Journey, Build, and Ride Video

very nice IVAN! Your Silvio should be the model by which all others are built. Absolutely gorgeous in design and with some great components. I am looking forward to your first real ride report.

    Silvio 2.0 disc hubs

the frame almost disapears Does anyone else see what I mean? With the HF frame member melding into the seatup through the headrest, with a rider seated on this Silvio, the bike would almost disappear. It's as if the bike and its rider become one.
