What John is saying is; you can put the stem however far down the riser as you need it. Yes, there will be excess riser sticking above. When you are sure everything is as you want it, cut the riser down to where you need it so it does not stick above the stem. Unless you want the flashy light...

I always thought an airnimal would make a good conversion. As far as the fork goes, remember, it's not the fork that holds the wheel on a conversion. The adaptor plates are what makes a front fork work for a rear wheel. Mark
