    My first experiences

Four days ago I got for the first time on my Silvio. It was a sunny afternoon, but awfully cold and windy. I did some rolling downhill and put my feet on the pedals. But most of the time it was the bike who decided in which direction we went. Today finally spring showed up in our country...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

I AM WAITING EAGERLY TOO Ivan, for the moment I'm still waiting to get my bullhorn handlebar from the UK. Fortunately our roads start drying up, what allows me to do my initial approach to the Silvio with its stock set-up. As soon as I get the new parts installed I'll keep you posted. As...

What if the end of the boom look like this

CLAMP WITH LOCKING That is what it would look like. To get a reasonable cost, this part would have to be molded, machining it would be far too expensive. The washer could be made from an extruded bar, or maybe stamped. In any case, both parts require some investment in costly tooling.

What if the end of the boom look like this

Light Mount not sure that a light up there would be very useful. It would light your legs and project a nice shadow play in front of you.

Brifters on bullhorn Bob, based on all your exhaustive research I ordered a Deda Crononero Low Rider 460mm wide from the UK. Mrs Ratz's set-up (pics #69) look very convincing. I will give that a try. Marc

What if the end of the boom look like this

STEM BRACKET 2nd I refined the initial idea, taking care of possible slippage and clearing the cables. I'm still questioning myself about the loads this particular part sees. Maybe by beefing it up I could get a sufficiently sturdy part printed in ABS. PS.: John, yes I'm designing with...

BOOM CLAMP What would you think of a clamp that allows for a height adjustment?

    Let's talk front wheel removal

YOU CAN TRY CARRYING A The cable tie solution seems to be a perfect work around. But I prefer the idea of a re-usable cable tie. On my Silvio, with a 10 speed cassette, there is not sufficient space left for a permanently installed cable tie.

RIDING Rick, ''I've managed to take 3 rides now on my new Silvio 2 (that's due to weather).' Lucky you, my Silvio would be ready to go for a ride, but here in Quebec, Canada, we have to wait another couple of weeks before the snow melts and the temperature become acceptable. Days are at...

CHAINSTAY EXTENSION attached you find a manufacturing drawing (metric or imperial) for an individual chain-stay extension. The extension length should be less than 100mm (4 inches). A smooth surface finish is important for the strength of this part. Be aware that you take full...

    I ordered a Silvio...Built it Up...and my First Ride...and 300 miles later!

disk stuck ''My disk go stuck the first time I tried to put it back in too, that's why I say not to remove it in the photo diary. It sounds like Rick never removed his though. Mine was really stuck at first and I have to give it a pretty brutal first turn that was less than comforting.''...
