    Silvio

Missunderstaning Sorry John, By no means I will say that Cruzbikes are something experimental. I'm convinced that the bikes you developed are in many ways superior to what is on the market, otherwise I wouldn't have bought a Silvio 2.1 for my own pleasure. Personally I road DF's and for...

    Silvio

STOCK OR NON-STOCK adopting a MBB-FWD bike '' will put you into the experimental arena'' anyway. Something similar to using LINUX instead of Windows or IOS. I like challenges.

    Silvio

BULLHORNS & GEARS I copied Mrs. Ratz's handlebar set-up, with a Deda Crononero Lowrider bar. It results in a rather tight cockpit and at starts I have a little more difficulties to get second foot on the pedal without touching the handlebar with the knee. But I like the arrangement with the...

    SILVIO 2 SEAT

Thanks everybody for all these interesting comments. I'll try to find more comfort with some cushioning. Very interesting also John's air-cushion tests. Maybe at some point this might result in an adaptable seat padding with pockets that can be filled with different density foam.

    SILVIO 2 SEAT

The weather is fine now, so I'm riding my Silvio 2.1 on a more regular base. Maybe I'm not sufficiently relaxed yet, but I feel that the seat is lacking of lumbar support. I think some Silvio 2 owners adapted different brand seats. Has someone tried a Metabike carbon seat? What seat...

    My first experiences

RIDING WET ROADS First time that the bike trail is free of snow and ice. This afternoon I was out for a little longer stretch on our locale bike trail. There is still a lot of snow on the side at many places. Once again I followed Ivan's recommendation and installed a set of CRUD RoadRacer...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

BULLHORNS (suite) I gave the reversed stock handle bar (bullhorn position) a try on the road. I didn't spend much time to adjust them properly, the bars were too close, thus my arms too much bent, but I think its a viable solution to get the feel of a bullhorn handle bar at no cost. For me...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

STOCK BULLHORN Leg clearance shouldn't be a problem, but they are very wide, 57cm compared to deda's 46 cm.

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

STOCK BULLHORN While taking my DEDA off to weld extension tubes on each side, I played with the stock Silvio handle bar. When it stops raining (Thursday or Friday) I'll try this on the road.

CRUD ROAD RACERS Thanks Ivan, I will give it a try once my black break is installed (was BO)

Spring is HERE!! lets see your RIDE!!

Crud Road Racers Ivan, I'm going to change the front break to a black one. That's the only reason why the front fender isn't installed yet. I have to drill two additional holes in the fender to accommodate for the higher mounting position of the attachment bars. The chain on the 10 speed...

Spring is HERE!! lets see your RIDE!!

Bent Up Cycles Aero Bag Rick, looking at your bike, I was seeking to put a ?Bent Up Cycles Aero Bag on a standard Silvio 2.0 seat. Here my solution: With two plastic tube clamps, I added a bracket to the headrest tubes. This bracket prevents the bag from sliding down and touching the rear...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

DEDA HANDLE BAR Ivan, I thinks it's more the angle of view that makes you see it differently. I followed Bob's instructions when cutting the handle bar. Once the ''horn'' of the bull is gone, there is not much straight tube remaining. I'm still going to play with the angle of this set-up...
