    Newbie with shoulder pain

Welcome aboard. Chronic Arthritis in my hands. ibuprofen was a requirement for the first 2 months of riding; then the muscle developed and I stopped fighting the bike. This was pre-training instructions so it took a long time to figure out the wrong and stop doing it. You should be able to...

Here you go: http://tailwind-coaching.com/2013/04/26/installing-sram-yaw-front-derailleur/ All the new 22 gear SRAM stuff is YAW as of this year. The number 1 mistake I make is to install the cable with the shifter in the wrong position. Did you run the wire through the pulley or old school...

Anybody using a disc brake on the front wheel of new V20?

The RAAM bikes will have Front Disc, and Rear RIM brakes (it's a weight thing) it'll be 160mm center lock rotors. I will probably have a lot of posts on the tech after the race; right now much of it is top secret.... or may I'm just too busy to even have time to post. The orthogonality gets...

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

Couple people have done it in the past on the Q-series. The dropouts are equal to "vertical dropouts" so you would need a chain tensioner; like the surly Singulator. Moving the boom would be too imprecise for tensioning the chain, and it would mess up your fit. But if you know what you're doing...

Yeah, I can understand that point of view, but a Trek Project One bike at $12k come with a seat most people throw away. The number of people that keep the stock pad is surprisingly high. Those foam ones don't drive up the price of the bike; adding a Ventisit to the base products just mean some...

The boom looks like it is out too far but might be the correct length. For the first adjustment, Bring it back 1 inch without shortening. If that results in the handlebars too far back at first you can compensate with your arms while you while you get the feet settled. Once the feet are good...

With the pcs 9. Clamp the boom. Leave rear wheel on ground. If you need it higher put an orange five gallon bucket (aka orange Home Depot style) open side up to hold the wheel. If you need to work level put bucket under each wheel

New to CruzBike and considering a purchase of the V20 frameset

if you are too short you can't make the boom short enough as it's long enough for very tall people. if you want to shave weight you ones you know your favorite length you can cut the inserted portion of the boom down to 18inches without compromising the stiffness. but that does limit the resell...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

Agreed;.... Key points that only make send after you made the switch The lubing factor is for between the plates that rub as they pivot on the pins. The dirt removal comes from the wax flaking off and removing the abrasive dirts from the system Rollers are polished and hardened they can...

that's not unreasonable; at 5'9" I take more than that; leaving just roughly 18" of insert; but you won't go that far until you have gotten her dialed in.
