How Many Watts Are Needed To Break The Current 24HR World Record?

I torque them to pretty much the same as you. I guess I'll eat Pizza for the next week for supper. Then we can have the same weight. Of course our biggest difference is our age: you're reported to be 20, and I am reported to be 90! All that means is that I have lots of gray hair, so you...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

No problem Jason. I'm sure most of the people on the forum would love to follow your progress and cheer for you. If there is a way for one of your crew to text me lap updates, and or photos, I'll be happy to try and post them up here on the forum. I know some events post real-time times because...

My Daughter in San Antonio needs help!

Hello everyone! No - this is not spam - please read on. My daughter is going to college in SanAntonio Texas. She just called me to tell me that her car caught on fire on her was to school this morning. She needs to find a used car pretty fast, or she can't even get to school or work. She is...

Chain WAXing (yes it's that easy) - and other mysteries of this art!

That is all I ever do too - I have never stripped it clean again. I get about 10K miles out of a chain before it needs replacing. I think that other thing that possibly helps is that I don't really do anything "really" powerful - that is not much above 700watts, and if that for really short...

How Many Watts Are Needed To Break The Current 24HR World Record?

Hey Jason, I am so bummed out on power meters right now. :( I got a set of Powertap P1 pedals because my Garmin Vectors just seemed to be "off" for some reason, possibly reading lower and lower as time went by - I think because of a faulty pod. During recent testing I was able to ride 25mph on...

    Tubular wheels

The 2 best things about tubulars: You will never get a pinch flat because of the rim design, and You can change a flat in no time: You yank off the tire, and just stretch a new one over the rim. Plus 1 other thing for track riding: You can pump them up to 200psi and have a lower rolling...

The Road to 500 miles in 24hrs

Have you looked at your right and left power numbers during these latest rides. See if your numbers have changed. All of a sudden mine in 55/45 (during my last long ride this Thursday). (My left calf actually started to cramp up around mile 130, so I had to start paying close attention. 55/45%...

How Many Watts Are Needed To Break The Current 24HR World Record?

Yes, that is the DF record - on an outdoor-track. (Indoor track is just a tad over 8hrs, by Baloh, but those indoor tracks will give you an extra 1mph at least - so fast. I was actually going to try and break 8:17 this past Thurday, but 2 things ended up making me bomb out: I got hot foot at 40...

    Lumberton Flood

I text'd Jim today and he said that they were OK. Lumberton has been in the news with the Lumbar river over flood stage (forecast through this weekend even).

Power vs HR and what power meter

You could just fill the frame of you Vendetta with water (or better yet - lead) - that might level the playing field a little bit. :0

How Many Watts Are Needed To Break The Current 24HR World Record?

Jason. Great data - What will be really interesting to track is how over time your HR tracks to your 200 watt average. (In your testing, remember to hit your lap counter for each lap, or every hour at the minimum.) I don't know how it works for everyone else, but as I fatigue, I have to...

    Wahoo KICKR trainer

I was able to ride my Silvio 2.1 on a KICKR, and also know that all version of the Vendetta fit on it as well. I can't imagine that the S30 would not, but I'm sure someone with a S30 will reply and confirm.

V20's are scary fast...or so I've been told

Hey Doug, Great story and pic. Man, I totally forgot that the RideNC started last weekend. Had I remembered, I might have tried to join you for a day or 2! I remember last year, Alvin and I hooked up and raced up and down the rollers at a stupid hi speeds, passing literally dozens and dozens of...

White Mountain Double Century and Final Race for the CA Triple Crown Stage Race

This is from one of my recent tests: V20 @ 150 watts = CdA= 0.154, avg speed = 38.66 kph .. but remember that a person's body size and position make up the lion's share of the CDa value, so it is VERY individual. Best thing to do is to test your own setup.

Drill Venting Holes in the Carbon Soles of you Shoes?

Oh yeah - one more thing Jason - If you do drill those holes - please make sure your feet are out of the shoes first! :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p Sorry I just could not help myself (been sawing tile for the last hour, so I'm a bit punchy! o_O

Drill Venting Holes in the Carbon Soles of you Shoes?

It is my belief that 'hot foot" is more of a "nerve" issue than you foot actually getting hot inside the shoes. I can verify this as I got hot foot riding at night in Sebring in 2015 (when it was 30 degrees) . My feet where actually numb from the cold, but I still got hot foot. Getting out of...

How far can you throw your Cruzbike?

My last "motorcycle" is my Vendetta - I'm the motor - it's the cycle. (I get in enough trouble on the Vendetta with my "little motor". Can't imagine what kind of trouble I'd get into with a "real" motor!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

How far can you throw your Cruzbike?

Wiggins was my favorite: throwing it at the wall, the bike never falls over, just rolls up to the wall, and then gently comes to rest against the wall. You try to do that on purpose 1000 times and never get it to work like that! Amazing! www.gifs.com/gif/wpvOzX
