    Silvio 2.0 Build Questions

On my 1.5, I found the water On my 1.5, I found the water bottles behind the seat difficult to reach. I much prefer the rack/bag combo in the back, with a camelbak bladder inside. I think my Bachetta Brain Box support would also work on a Silvio. It is inexpensive and easy to build so...

Hole The stalk is indeed a hollow tube. There is a drain hole under it, but it is much smaller diameter than the cable-routing hole. It seems to be intentional. I don't really know but I'd like to think that it is not an accident. :-)

Silvio 2.0 Build & Maiden Voyage

Don't be afraid to clip in. I didn't clip in for a month after getting my Silvio. When I finally did, it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be, and I wished I had clipped in sooner! I think being clipped in will really help you on hills. Make the clips loose if you want so...

    Vendetta or Silvio?

As an owner of a Silvio 1.5 As an owner of a Silvio 1.5 and Vendetta 2.0, I think a couple of questions you might want to ask yourself are: 1) Would you like to have a suspension? Only the Silvio has a suspension, and it does make a difference! It does not feel squishy at all and it...

    Vendetta 2.0 unboxing and build

I don't see it in your photo, I don't see it in your photo, Eric, but my Vendetta has a hole next to where the FD mount post is. I ran my cable through that.

Another Brain Box Mount for Vendetta

OK, Eric posted his Brain Box Mount for his Vendetta, so I will post mine too. I'd guess that Eric's is lighter than mine, but mine requires fewer skills to build! :-) Mine supports the Brain Box from the bottom, like a tray. I don't use any of the Brain Box mounting flaps or materials...

Just Ordered the Silvio 2.0 Frameset

It looks like Ken's arms are 94It looks like Ken's arms are a lot more bent than mine are when I ride my Silvio. My arms are nearly straight when I ride. I'm not sure if his arms are longer than mine, or if his handlebars are that closer to his chest. Maybe a little of both. IOW, I...

What's the trick to using a Cruzbike on a stationary trainer?

I have a Kurt Kinetic Road I have a Kurt Kinetic Road Machine trainer that I've used several times with my Silvio. I just let my back wheel sit on the ground. I don't think there is much to gain by allowing the back wheel to move laterally.

    Vendetta vs Silvio

Hi Eric,   Yes, that route Hi Eric, Yes, that route was mostly my usual Saturday morning route. I hit a few Ride With GPS segments along the way and didn't do very well on any of them. I went out for another ride today, and it was MUCH better. I finally got my Brain Box mounted...

    Vendetta vs Silvio

I've owned a Silvio 1.5 for a I've owned a Silvio 1.5 for a year now and I just bought a Vendetta 2.0. I've only been on one longish (70 mile) ride on the Vendetta. I love the Silvio but bought a Vendetta because I was looking for a more reclined back and lower handlebars. The promise of...

Higher gear, learn to spin or enjoy coasting?

I tend to stop pedalling I tend to stop pedalling downhill in the mid 30's. I know I'm going to need that energy going up the next hill. Where I live, down hills are almost always followed by up hills. When I get to the bottom of a hill, I'll continue coasting until I'm down to 30 or so...

    Zefal Spy Mirror A+

I wouldn't use the term I wouldn't use the term 'distorted'. It's more of an 'objects-in-mirror-may-be-closer-than-they-appear' affect. It's definitely not a problem for me. I prefer that over a regular 'flat' mirror because you get a wider field of view. You can still see things that are...

Andrew, that's great!  You've Andrew, that's great! You've been wanting a Silvio for a long time, I'm happy you finally got one. I agree, the Zefal spy mirrors are awesome and rock solid (no mirror vibrations as you are riding). Mine got a little scratched up recently - does anyone...
