    Silvio S 30 Thailand

On a course without hard hills, the same rider will expend less energy to maintain the same speed on a Silvio that an upright almost always - (unless a full out TT setup) - Just keep riding and getting in better fitness and I'll bet you'll eventually start passing DF riders. I saw an increase in...

Boom ... was that an S30 that just passed you?

Will miss seeing you guys there. I'll be at the National 24 hour challenge at the same time. We need to see about maybe scheduling these events on different weekends in the future! :) Ride fast and safe and look forward to result and lots of cool pictures. Create a new thread for it: 32nd MHPVA...

    N24HC 2016

OK, I have tuned up, tightened up, and loaded up the Vendetta for the 24 hour "race". This is more of a "data collection" opportunity for me as apposed to a "real" race, so I have loaded the bike up with front and rear video, probably 3 total pounds of Battery banks to run everything, etc, etc...

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Great observation! and very interesting - I will have to pay more attention to if the mosquitos get around me or not when I go to the river for kayaking. I wonder if it works for Poison Ivy too - haha. I know it does not work for bees - they still like to sting me when I am doing yard work! :(

    V2 vs V.20

Ratz - You forgot one - maybe the most important one: imho: THE V2.X WITH AWSOME LOOKING BOOM - IS THE YELLOWIAT/COOLEST/FASTEST/MEANEST LOOKING OF ALL THE VENDETTA'S, PAST AND PRESENT!!! ... just saying!!!

    For Sale: One-of-a-kind V2.

This is indeed a sad day! Gary lives near me and he helped my build my first and second Vendetta - He is a master. We used to ride together a lot, and it is a shame he has not recovered from his foot surgery Gary - I pray for you all the time and I hope all your health issues get resolved before...

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

I always thought that that would be a good idea. I ride with a little 12" stubby (suicide bar - some call it), for aero of course - which I am pretty sure puts most of my upper body out of the power equation, but I can still go more down the road at an OK speed. ;) I thought that if you...

    N24HC 2016

In an attempt to try and figure out how to ride through the night (for the N24HC event) and with what kind of effort (power), I took off to my "super secret test facility" last night "per a suggestion from Ratz", after my wife went to bed and rode for 6 hours. It was actually windy part of the...

    Mid-Atlantic 12/24 - August 20, 2016

Not likely Ratz, with these skinny little things - (21" circ)! On the contrary, I have heard rumors that your thighs are like small tree trunks - someday when I "grow up", I want my thighs to be as strong as yours. That's one of my secret goals for a winter - build some more muscle mass down...

I don't think they allow firearms of any kind at this event!:D;)

    Mid-Atlantic 12/24 - August 20, 2016

Jim rode a sub 4-hour in 2014. He and I placed 1,2 last year (2015). I am pretty sure Jim & Maria are going this year, and I am planning on it as well. Not much difference between the competitive and non competitive, except I think you don't leave together. You won't find a better or flatter...

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

That is one sweet looking Q-ring - and nice big 54 tooth. Looks like it almost came out of a sawmill, cutting trees down! Now is just cuts DF's down! :p Mine is only a 52, and QXL is a 53.

    For Sale Silvio 2.0 Package

Nice bike - great price! I think I remember this bike! I took your old 1.5 up to New York with me, and traded it for a 2.0 4 months later I traded my 2.0 for a Vendetta 2.2. Nothing like the Vendetta

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

FWIW: I have both, and frankly I could not tell a huge difference between the 2. The QXL make shifting a little "less" nice from little to bit ring. I'm just riding the regular now - and have not even used the little ring but once since last October when I took my FD off

Farther, Faster, Fitter, Fun - (4F - The unofficial Cruzbike training team and support group)

Slim, I was in the same predicament. The other way you can "gauge" that you are in this "aerobic" range is if you can breathe easily through you nose and talk normally. I'm 56, and 180-56=124. That is really low, but the fitter you are the higher the number. (Same thing with the "magic" maximum...

    Fletcher Flyer event

Yeah - I was sooooo glad he exited "stage left" - instead of "stage right" - which may have meant early Thanksgiving dinner that night!

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

I've not really kept really good track of my mileage, but looking back at Strava when I got my first Cruzbike in June of 2014: I logged 8200 in the rest of 2014, 13,000 for 2015, and 6,000 so far this year. That's ~27K miles, and I would say that well over 20K of those miles have been on my...
