    2016 HPRA FLORIDA CHALLENGE

Thanks everyone. I was definitely lucky to win all 7 events, especially partially incapacitated due to my left shoulder. If Mike Mowett had been there, he would have probably killed me in the short spirits. All in all it was a great time and John and Jacquie Schlitter did a great job in hosting...

Latex Larry and the case of blown out tire

I actually bought and used orange seal on my wheel for Sebring. I'll like you to look at my tube and tire when I get back in town Gary. Kent Polk actually found a small projection "bump" on the edge if the wheel that he thinks could have caused the flat, but I could not find the puncture.

    Winter picture for Ratz

Beautiful photo Marc - clearly Cruzbike needs to come up with their "fat-tire" version for stuff like this!

Look what I found under my tree for Christmas....

Thanks for the information on this Apollo. Yes, my inseam in 30" - so on the small end of the spectrum for sure. I think since I run with 140mm cranks that gives me a little leway, but in the end the center of the bottom bracket needs to be about 33" from where the lowest part of my rear end...

Look what I found under my tree for Christmas....

It is really hard to know. Kent Polk rides a CHR and is so fast. My problem at least with the CHR is that I am basically too short, although I am working at trying to pick up a used frame to see if I can somehow be fitted to it, especially with the short cranks I like to ride with. I would love...

    2016 HPRA FLORIDA CHALLENGE

http://www.recumbents.com/wisil/calendar.asp Well, I'm here now (with my bride - Gayle) - bum shoulder and all. As you can see - we are in a really tennie wennie place - Of course the bikes get the bed. - we'll not really since Gayle is with me! haha But they do have to live on the bed during...

    Must Start to finish

Blake - you will get used to it, it just takes time. Heck a year and a half ago I got my first Cruzbike and swore for at least 3 days I could never learn to ride it, now I can grab a drink pretty easily even while riding quite hard. Below is a reverse angle video of me riding on a 1/3 mile loop...

Look what I found under my tree for Christmas....

In the "very"minimal testing I was able to do last Fall, and without any "aero-type" modifications, the Arrowhead was the fastest. It was about equal the Vendetta at 200 watts, but at 300 it was about 1 mph faster, which tells me it is a tad bit more aero: Its seat is about 6" lower than the V...

Latex Larry and the case of blown out tire

You' You'll need a power meter of some kind, and a place like a track with conditions that can remain the same when you do the testing

Latex Larry and the case of blown out tire

I used to be kinda fast, but I found when averaging my time laying in the middle of the road doing "ZERO mph", my average speed decreasing quite fast! :( I will be adding this to my testing list nevertheless. But, I think I'm going to have to take an entire year off of work to complete my...

    Sebring 2016

What really happened! I came in on the Century (officially 101.5 miles) at around 4:16:?? I was about 1 minute behind Kevin at that point, as he went out hard with Jim and the end and I did not. Our plan was to stick together for the rest of the day after the Century and try and rack up as many...

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

Yeah, truthfully - I have never been able to reach the level of pain on the open road as I do on the trainer. First of all there is not a road or a route around that would allow me to go 4 or more hours without a break or even a letup in pedal power... Closest I have come might possibly be...

I sense a disturbance in the 3rd Law

Well, it's almost "mid-February", but late March - ouch - man if you have to wait that long, might be time to cry a little in anticipation
