Yeah, I remember that, I just couldn't remember why you had to do the adaptation to start. I went back to the Google site and found your post... I forgot about the 1.50" headset. I agree, this looks better than the PVC adaptation you had. Mark

    Front Wheel Flex

I cannot give a qualified answer, but my experience has been that riders with "aero spoked" wheels always cry and complain on a windy day. I agree that our legs would derve to dampen the effects of the wind, but to what extent? While you're pedalling, I would assume the wind would be working...

Sounds like fun. If you make it down this way, give a holler! Mark

    Front Wheel Flex

A solid disc wheel would probably render it unridable in severe crosswind situations. I wonder... Could it be the wheel was just improperly tensioned? Mark

    Taking the plunge...

The waiting is the worst part. I'm 295, so that means at least 4 others have plunged into the Kool-Aid vat, as well. My frame is somewhere within 50 miles of me, I can feel it. The force is strong. :P Mark

    Photo Albums

+1, I agree. The photo albums on Yahoo were OK, but sometimes you look at a picture and wonder "why is there a 1938 REO dumptruck on a Cruzbike site?" You have no idea this is somebody's Cruzbike hauler, it's just your plain, old, run of the mill 1938 REO dumptruck. Mark

WTB Mountain Road Bars on Silvio!!

While I have my doubts that the occasional hard pulling we do climbing or sprinting exerts near the stress that the constant load and occasional stress of pushing/pulling a standing rider throws into the bar, I certainly have no way of validating any claim of mine. So, it's a moot point. If it...

Jack, I forgot why you had to do all that to the Cannondale. Was that a different size steer tube? Mark

WTB Mountain Road Bars on Silvio!!

Yeah, you would void the warrantee. But to tell the truth, the biggest stress put upon handlebars is the weight borne on them. In their normal capacity, you would epect to have, what, 100 plus pounds of upper body bearing down on them? In our usage, there is no weight bearing issues. You...

    44 bar / campag

I have to admit I like the looks of the whacked bar, but I'll probably try riding it some before I cut. Only because you are so adamant about it, Brian. I find that oddly....invigorating. ;)   Mark

    44 bar / campag

John said they were making him a sample for testing. I would say there's a good liklihood, but it may be awhile before we see it. Mark

    Taipei Cycle Show Display Bike

I thought so... I really like the looks of that. It doesn't look so much like a roadbar tranplanted onto a recumbent. I think that's why we're all so enamored by the WTB bar... It looks good on there! Mark

How wet do water filled pot holes make you? And where?

When I've gone through spots of water, I get it worst up the back of my neck and head. Mark

I still say those bars scream to have that lowest leg of the bend whacked off. Mark
