    Testing Dérailleur Pulleys

Ok did the installs and videos last night. Busy work day so it might be 24 hours before I can down load those and edit them down. Initial Result where positive and I would call them conclusive enough for my needs. Tests performed: 1) Crank spin without chains to show that both spin within a ¼...

Any Interested In Reflective CruzBike Decals For Their Bike?

These work really well on the black and dark parks of the bike; during sunlight they vanish; hit them with light and they light up plenty good. http://www.ridewithfiks.com/collections/reflective-stickers/products/hexalate-reflective-sticker-pack We've used the Black and White ones; don't know...

    Testing Dérailleur Pulleys

Yeah I'm pretty sure they are sealed greaseless; assuming they stay sealed and clean that should last for some good mileage; but you certainly would not want to be pressure washing the bike. I suspect they are rebranded versions of the TriPeak stuff coming direct out of Asia. A bit like LED...

    Testing Dérailleur Pulleys

Don't get me wrong; I like them fine enough as riders; I just never got the I have no evidence but I'm sure you wrong stance a lot of people take. I'll continue conduct my engineering via wallet and trial and error.

    Then you'd need a "dissed-by-the-BROL-elite" one too.

    CruzBike Recumbent Jersey Ideas

The 2nd generation Jerseys where the bend-it Cycling ones; those ran (S,M,L,XL). Most likely if you ordered one in the last 6 months and you have the dark blue jersey; with a with left arm sleeve then you have one of those. The current 3rd generation with a white right hand sleeve and the...

    CruzBike Recumbent Jersey Ideas

I'd be happy with a good race fit jersey that doesn't flap in the wind. But I do have some old jersey's like you describe that all things like extra water bottles to be carried and will straddle the seat Very handy. (idea shamelessly stollen from @trplay )

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

What's the old saying; "You can't make it up on the down hill"; If you are going to be riding the brakes down hill and there are no flats that require a sustained output leave the covers at home and get a 20 spoke climbing wheel with bladed spokes. Nobody does the assault on MT Michell on Aero...

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Depends on your definition of Carb Loading. Extreme Weight loss is 50g carbs, Weight Lost is 100g, maintenance is 150-200g.. All from good sources of carbs. An event with extreme sustained effort, say a 1 hour TT, versus say a 12 hour endurance event will be more short term Glucose...

I can get you weight with a tubeless tire mounted; un-mounting it won't be in the cards as it's a bontrager and those are a some-b to unmount.

Farther, Faster, Fitter, Fun - (4F - The unofficial Cruzbike training team and support group)

Trainer tip of the week: A lot of us use a wheel stand to keep the S30 and V20 straight when on a trainer, nothing more annoying than staring at a crooked boom for 2 hours while you pedal. If you are using a wheel off model (Kickr, Neo, Flux, etc) ; they are expecting a front tire on the ground...

Farther, Faster, Fitter, Fun - (4F - The unofficial Cruzbike training team and support group)

First of the price slasher in the direct drive market http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/08/tacx-flux-smart-trainer.html The Accuracy being only 5% currently isn't a problem for structured indoor training; since we FTP test and then train indoors against it; as long as the unit is consistent ride...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Ditto Larry; compared to the weight of some 90mm rims without covers, the lighter wheel with covers are way ahead; to the point of why worry. If you want Lighter than in the off season (you have one of those right ?) You could take a super light set of box rim climbers and shrink fit some...

    Bottom Bracket Suggestions?

If the clamps can "impede" the spin; then you are warping/crush the metal of the BB cups. That's more than plenty tight and backing off to free spin point is fine. You can use this interference/interplay to learn what too tight is.

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

Doesn't support that once the BT connection is down; it stays down because of large battery problems they ran into during the beta testing.

    Bottom Bracket Suggestions?

Just out of curiousity; you: (1) removed the chain before testing; (2) made sure the front triangle is square and not over-tight. You can test that by completely loosening the chain stay cup clamps; spin should be super long then; after than you can judge if you are over tightening by repeating...

Voodoo rings for the win. This is exciting as it means we now have a low cost of entry product so more people can get this benefit. Is your small ring still Out of phase or did you line that up? And for the next person that buys these can you: document which model of ring (there are a...
