    S30 Shock disablement

So you want to see what it's like to ride the newer S30 without the front shock....To see if you like it better. Well I can't make your Silvio 2.x or suspended S30 have a 33degree seat angle, you can do that with a Towel or other seat shim. That's left as an exercise for you to sort out for...

DC Rainmaker has a prototype and did a right up. It's only real flaws are (1) you have to have a metal wheel; (2) it's really a zero inertia trainer, so that takes some adapting to. (3) not an erg trainer so you must manually control the resistance with your gears.

There's another aspect to that that I should probably add to the figure 8 drill instruction. Like an ice skater you have to lead with your head. So when I do figure 8's I turn my head "at least" far enough in the direction I want to go that my chin touches my shoulder and I look "past/wider"...

The Tacx Vortex Erg model should work good; much more so that the Tacx Satori and they aren't that far apart in price. http://www.dcrainmaker.com/product-reviews/trainers

For the endurance stuff sub 80% ftp; that's great for watching TV at least on an Erg trainer, we turned nightly couch time into trainer time; 3 hours is still a lot but that's not every session. When it comes to the really hard stuff latter; which is usually < 1-1.5 hours, that's the territory...

One trick everyone over looks is practice reaching for the bottle and NOT grabbing it; just practice the motions; focus on the horizon while you do this; the natural reaction is to look to the side or at your feet; which does not help.

    Silvio S 30 Thailand

That would be normal 40 minutes and 90 are when most people, depending on fitness; burn through their glucose reserves. Long and easy training will improve your aerobic system and make the less of an issue. In the meantime getting some natural sugars in at those low points will restore you...

Status update for those following along. We are learning nicely what trips people up as they get up to speed; and where the success come from. From zero fitness we are seeing most of the testers getting a trajectory of 45 days of consistent easy aerobic training bringing them up to a fitness...

    Uh oh...V20 back in stock!

That looks like a 20 spoke (some hidden by the fuzzy photo), but that gives me pause too; that's a lot of torque on a straight laced wheel even if the rider is at the very low end of the Clydesdale classification. The lowest I've run was 20 rear; twenty 24 front cross laced by 2.

My guess is that you will like slammed better. We use the right hand mirror for the long view behind us and the left hand one for the left shoulder blind spot seems odd at first but quickly become second nature.
