Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Yep I can see that conclusion, especially if you assume I'm training solely to increase my FTP. For the record I was 100% with you last year, I would have written exactly what you did. So that probably proves I can't make up my mind, we aren't that far apart, or we are all trying to learn...

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

Putting some numbers behind the long slow training secondary part of this topic. Admittedly these are just my poor average numbers; but that's probably better than If I had great superstar ones. Graph 1 - March 8th; I tried one of my first long slow rides. Killed me to get 2.5 hours at...

Diet: Low Carb and Ultra Cycling

I can't speak the for Maria and Jim I'm waiting on her blog post as much as everyone else, I do believe she's more deeply into the Keto end of the spectrum but that's a subjective eval and I'm very curious. But I was the one that gave Larry the "hey did you get chubby too" email; and then...

    Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016

Omg the over tighten is so true. It has taken me a long time to lean to gob the grease on and just go snug and let the grease do its work. When it comes to the clamps. Here is what your choice are. Be too loose and notice post ride that they shifted out of position. As long as you inspect after...

    New/Old Q559 rider

Yep ERIK's will do it. they might look at the dual drive a little strange or tell you the clearance is awful tight. If they bualk you can take it to calhouns on Hennepin or worst case I could run over with the tool. It is about a 10 minute swaps out and onky needs 1 special tool.

    New/Old Q559 rider

The gear on the Q559 can be a bit tall with a little fiddling with the b-screw you can fit an 11-34T cassette to the stock stuff and get gearing much more compatible with hills. The net change give you similar gear inches to what was found on the Q451. Without that change the gearing just...

    Vendetta V20 Build diary 2016

There are no details. They need to be tight enough that the front end doesn't move or shift under load. But it's super easy to over tighten and then the clamping force is great than the stiffness of the BB cups; Thus your bearing raceways warp and the cranks don't spin free. It takes...

    what to wear?

They are unders but frankly they cover as well as bike shorts that don't' have a shamy. I'll test this in less popular places to see what sweet does before I don them around crowds.

What's on your feet - talking cycle shoes

Sidi and DMT are hard to beat. Really don't know the difference until you try them; fortunately both make road and mtb shoes with the same uppers and sizes.
