    Hoodoo 500 stage race

Well crap I guess that means it's time to get the GPX files from Lief to load on the virtual trainer for the winter. At this stage not sure the knees make me much more that a match to burn early on cause after 150 miles I'll be in the autobusse at the back; but that time of the year should work...

    Silvio front-chainstay aero mods?

Yep; then I remember that I can ride that bike at 25mph without effort, and if I want to go fast I get on the vendetta, at that point I stop worrying about it....

    V2.2 front derailleur help

Tony, That is a very respectable tuning time; especially for a first go. If I get lucky it takes me 5min and if it goes bad it's 15m so you are right in the range for beneficial and not time wasting. If you have RIM brakes get these...

    V2.2 front derailleur help

Use to be some good photos in older threads but the photo seem to have had died in the migration. So here's a fresh pic from my Silvio. That liner is just completing it's second season. Between outdoors and trainer time there are about 4000 miles on that one. I will probably put a fresh one on...

    V2.2 front derailleur help

Traditional FD YAW Derailleur A lot of times they will say "1-2mm" spacing the most reliable to measure that is to use your "1.5" allen wrench which is 1.5mm wide; if it just barely fits to the open space you need to measure The key take home are: 1) Lower Limit screw stops the FD from...

    V2.2 front derailleur help

TWH, Ok this could be tough be we can try. So first some basics. Is your force front derailleur a Force or a Force 22. I ask because the Force 22 is a YAW derailleur. The setup for each is rather different. There are excellent videos on youtube that show the details but it's important that we...

Di2 eTube Application - Call for Help

After the phase where it does the firmware checks. You'll get a screen that looks like this When you see that screen you have to hit check connection at which point it will search forever and then you'll finally get to the customize screen. If you can get the check connection to pass then you...

Duncan, I've ridden one of those; you are going to fly on the Vendetta and the front end will seem amazingly light in your hands.....

How long to learn to ride?

So here is the thing..... If you follow the script whether or not you need it is immaterial. If you don't follow the script and you did in fact need it you might wind up with a lot of frustration. Anyone can handle a bike at speed, it's what you can do a 3mph in a crisis that matters and that's...

    Hoodoo 500 stage race

Quoting Abbott: "Ben suffered some type of catastrophic mechanical failure with 30 miles to go. Lief drove back out onto the course and lent Ben his Vendetta to finish the ride."

    Minnesota, New here

Hi Othmar, For Canon city a Quest would be most suited to that trail. It would be a little narrow and time and congested to run a Silvio down that path especially if you are going all the way to the river. The Quest however would be quite fun on that route. I'll PM you and we can setup...

    Bullhorn bars help

Yeah it's hard to find wide ones; there are UCI limits on horns which get used with aero bars on TT bikes. 44 center to center is usually the widest you can fine. The Deda at 46 are extremely rare. I spent an entire winter researching bars and it was slim pickings.

    eTap..... squweeeeeeeee

Indeed tubeless on all the fast bikes; I damaged the rim strip that seals the tire spoke holes. It slide ever so slightly into the bead lock area; then I installed fresh test Schwable Ones on those rims and they really weren't made for the narrower rim bead. Totally mechanic error. So when I...

    eTap..... squweeeeeeeee

#1 tire blew off the rim at 22mph my fault too cheap to put a new rim strip on the wheel. #2 I rounded a corner at 20mph At dusk and discovered an illegally unmarked section of fresh chip seal with two inch deep pea gravel. I got construction firm fined for that oversight. Never had a chance...

    eTap..... squweeeeeeeee

Sorry slim won't be me this time. We'll probably skip the 2016 v20 and do the 2017s which will be the first year we can show up for a race schedule. Perhaps by then we can run BB30 too. (Have to buy a house and move next summer). So unless someone wants to buy a really nice used yellow vendetta...
