Who would like a: Cruzbike Fantasy TT Series??????

Here's a new trick with stoplights. Setup the GPS to autopause below 3mph; then create a Strava Segment for the TT course. Because of lawsuits, Strava will now record you segment time as not including any stopped non moving time at the light time; only the rolling time will counted. They did...

Someone catch that old guy on the odd bike

Just a fun little report for today. Took the kids to the Tour de Tonka in Minneapolis burbs. Since they would be riding Quests at somewhat reduced speeds that's also the bike I took. So I spent most of the day with the B level DF riders passing them doing 20+ up hill while they struggled to do 9...

Need a Skewer to Fit the Drive Wheel to my Trainer

I use the 135mm Steel one that came with the trainer then I use an end cap for the none lever side with a through hole. same thing would work if you cut 1-2 mm off the rod and tapped a thread on it.

Shoot me and put me out of my MISERY!

Be sure to remove the tailbone pad. Should be slotted for removal no need to cut anything.

    Hare and Hound

The new "segment" alerts on the Garmin are equally problematic on recovery rides. I admittedly went "that a way" last night because I was way ahead on a segment without trying so I figured I'd go for it; so much for the Z1 recovery ride.

    HPV races at Northbrook Velodrome

Agreed; but in Larry's case his cranks are soooooo short; and his cadence is so high; that the net gain for the q-rings is (my guess here) going to be a lot less and perhaps out side the -+2.0% accuracy of his power meter. 175mm cranks and a 60-70rpm cadence much more noticeable. I certainly...

Aero Wheel-sets for sale - SOLD

As mention elsewhere I’m in the process of changing our wheel-sets and we will be posting these 2 sets up on eBay. But I’m putting them here first for the Tribe to consider. I have Qty 2 Bontrager Aura 5 TLR Wheel-sets available. These run great, are durable as can be, they are a aluminum rim...

Thursday Night A Ride: Lowrider Unchained (July 23, 2015)

Matěj 38 lbs is a large difference on a bike. It makes total sense that you'd be comfortable at 90/85psi combo. I'm the same weight a Joe, and with tubeless I can run 90psi and it's fine. I specifically went tubeless and wide tires to get down to those pressures. With tubes I have to crank it...

    Bike stand

Yup that one all the way. Works best with the Arm on the back side of the front wheel.

    Riding in the dark (lights)

If doing long night rides; then designshine should be top of the list. Unfortunately they are closed until the end of summer  so you'd have to wait to order the lights. Mrs Ratz's lights will be under the holiday tree. Yup I can get away with gifting bike parts.

    Vendetta V20

Your X-seam is 5" more than mine and you are 5" inches taller; that mean all leg; If you don't have short calves; that puts you in no mans land between the two frames. If you think you'd like short cranks 165mm or less. I'd say larger + stem riser will give you the best option. Short crank...

    My Vendetta adventure

I'm running Ultegra 6800 right now because the braking power is great; I'm in the big thigh camp and I just slightly get leg interference now and then but only if my pedalling gets sloppy. The SRAM Force22 on the other hand are even smaller and cleaner. For both brake sets they install better...
