    Smaller wheels on the Vendetta?

Time will tell. No need for a prototype, the new bike is set for launch, it is based on the TDP2 will be released at the World Cup This summer. After the first 10 go to French customers they will start building units for the rest of us. The first two US Units (supposedly #11 and #12) go to...

    559/700cc build...finally ridable

There shall be no tangents... There shall be no tangents... (he says to him self).... Thanks Jeremy I didn't know that; last time I tried 6-7 years ago we couldn't make it work, but that's been a while. So that opens some options.

looking for riding tips with toe-clips or snap in shoes, general steering and uphill/downhill riding

One more thing One other thing to remember is that balance is a core muscle function (every seen the torso muscle on gymnists?); On a bike the Trunk/Torso Muscle control balance; and the father you lay back the more the shoulder come into play too. So as you get into better and better...

    559/700cc build...finally ridable

Why.... two word Why switch? Simple.... Road Brifters. If you have ones for caliper brakes that's what you use; they are just now coming out with ones that use Disc Brakes and they cost 450+ for a pair. Then there are the wheels; if you have 130mm non disc wheels that's what you use. Disc is...

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

Oh yeah large. forgot I forgot you had a large; that's what I am using on the Silvio too; I had both sizes on hand, because we used the Mediums' on the Quest for tire repair supplies. If you wanted to use two Large ones they might be a tighter fit. They might have to be squished on the front...

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)

If one is good two is better. I had an evening to tinker and I found a good way to hang two TopPeak Medium Wedge Bags (The bag Ivan used) to the head rest of the Vendetta or Silvio by building on my water bottle setup. The results are excellent. They worked well on a 60 miler today. Both...

    aero bull bar levers

BMX might be the place to looks For a starter have a look at http://www.diacompe.com.tw/product_list.asp?psclass=26&p=1 the "Dirty Hary" and the "Gold Finger" series have the pull direction you want and they are compact; and they have Removeable mounting brackets. With something like that...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

Noodling on the problem.... Eric, If you stay with the reversed brakes why not use some Jagwire Felxible Brake Noodles. You can get them in black but the color usually rubs off so just get sliver. http://www.niagaracycle.com/categories/jagwire-flexible-brake-noodle-bag-of-10 I...

Cut the tube or add spacers?

Adding can be undone If I was new to the platform I would add a spacer because you can always cut later; if you want a lower handlebar later you can cut the steem; the reverse is not true :). Since you are new to the platform that keeps your options open.

Initial Conclusions on the Silvio 2.x Cockpit for distance riding

Something with a reduction sleave ? Ah the fun of hunter for brake levers. What that exact OD on the bullhorns? My guess is your best bet is to find an MTB lever that includes the reduction sleeve or probably something from the BMX world. This is one that might work for you. If it's not...

Initial Conclusions on the Silvio 2.x Cockpit for distance riding

Following up... I've been able to follow up on some minor thoughts from this thread. Talking with Jim Parker over email; I decided to go on an extensive hunt for an Origin8 Gary Bar in 31.8mm for the Vendetta build. I got lucky and found some after about 3 days of hunting. They are the...

    Let's talk front wheel removal

As a follow up... The epoxy has worked well; the derailleur and hanger have stayed in place all season without any problems changing the wheel; but I do crack the chain when I have time and the tools. Now that the Vendetta is built and almost debugged; I'll be able to do without the Silvio...

    Some build questions

Happy build time.... 1. It is normal on any bike build to potentially have to file down the steerer column or add a spacer. Either will work. 2. Against the rubber bands and yes it's fiddly 3. Those are optional for attaching the top of the seat to the head rest polls. They are for...

New Cruzbike Quest 3.0 Rider Questions

You can A SRAM 11-32 fits well; and an 11-34 PG950 will also fit but it is just a tad harder to get the wheel off without removing the derailleur. We have a PG950 on one Quest and I can climb a wall pulling a 70lb trailer load with two moving children with that cassette. For the leg...

2014 Mid Atlantic 12/24: prep and endurance questions

Giro Air Attack Helmet with Giro Air Attack Helmet with or without the visor works for me on both the Silvio and the Vendetta; the back of the helmet is high enough not to interfere with the headrest. ((Note I have qty 1 8-mile ride on the Vendetta so take that with a grain of salt). Took...

How I spent my Summer Vacation (an ongoing vendetta saga)
