It will look a lot like It will look a lot like Ivan's photos, but with the shower pass where he has the bag; and the bag wedged between a higher up bottle and the shower pass. I have the medium bag working well but I am trying to fit the large bag at Mrs Ratz's request. I'm not sure how...

    He's all wet

Ok I'm working on Hydration for our long rides 80-120 milers. We have a few stretches of 30+ miles without civilization and we'll ride when it's 90F+ so hydration usually consists of two camelback podium bottles of water and a bottle of electrolyte drink. Noah posted the showerpass a while...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

Comparisons I noticed this weekend that the stock handle bars have some similarity in shape and reach to the bullhorns I installed. I did some comparative photos that might be of use to someone trying to decide about bar reach. A clone of these bullhorns could probably be made using the same...

    Let's talk front wheel removal

3300 psi plastic epoxy Eric, It's a 3300 psi plastic polimer epoxy. I've used this before on similar but different bike application. It hardens to a clean poly. For an application like this after you press it with a clamp you get a really thin layer. If I need to remove it; a Small blade...

Temp Ties This the the re-usable tie I mentioned previously. It's mini version of the Orange ones Eric posted last spring. Very useful; if you don't have enough clearance to leave a zip strip permanently in place.

Stabilze one side - and idea for the future. I think I might have an idea to stabilize the front triangle during tire removed for all Cruzbikes that are disc brake ready. As I was gluing in the derailleur hangers today on both bikes; I had time, while the epoxy hardened for two hours...

    Let's talk front wheel removal

Well it makes a difference when the stress is up Trplay, I understand I'm focusing on the worst; but now is the time to deal with that in the off season, but I do get you; and I do want it to be simple and simple in the field under stress. So if I point out it's a problem then John and...

Initial results with new water bottle mounts on the 2.1 boom

So what to use them for. So now if a bunch of use can't use the bottle mounts for bottle what should we do with them.... hmmm. I'm thinking I'm about putting a small pump there or maybe a can of doggie pepper spray. Around here pepper spray works and animals and rednecks in pickups...

Initial results with new water bottle mounts on the 2.1 boom

Rotate it Slim, I thought about rotating it; then I realize the front derailleur cable stop is on the upper boom segment. So... you could do it; but then you'd need to run you derailleur cable down the other side of the boom, or you would need to mount a clamp-on cable stop on the boom...

Perhaps a figure 8 wrap I'm thinking (Yes that's dangerous.) I'm going to carry a small roll of double sided velcro tie strapping. Get it at your local electrician supply store for pennies on the foot. When it is time to change the tire; I'm going to figure-8 wrap the fork end...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

Oppps Yes the the cruising position photo was over looked; and the true photo for cursing position is missing. To achieve cursing position; do as above but extend your social finger straight ahead. Part of me really want to take that photo and post it, but .... As for the Jtek shifters I...

    Let's talk front wheel removal

Ok 2.x owners. What are your tips for remove the front wheel without the front end falling apart; derailleur and chain get all twisted up and general winding up with a disaster on your hands? I'm finding that I have to: turn the bike upside down and rest in on the handbars and the seat...

    Bullhorn and Dropbar Options

If I was making these for the masses Eric, If I could tweak these bars for mainstream. I would do the following: Keep the 60mm drop. Make the width 460mm (these are 440mm) offer in 460, 440 and 420 widths. Increase the forward reach 60mm longer Leave the end of the bars steeply...

Brake routing Ok so here are the brake details. First you can see the entry hole where the cable runs into the bars. Before molding and wrapping the cable looks as follows. These are TRP carbon levers. I love the way they feel in the hand compared to cold aluminum levels...

    Coming out- New Silvio Build

Yep that's what happen to me too. Hi Dave, Your 150mm extension seems to have done what my 100mm did. It' gets the boom up to the desired higher bb height and gets the arms down; but that also moves the handle bars back closer to the body which causes the arm bend. There are a couple of...

Initial results with new water bottle mounts on the 2.1 boom

We installed water bottles on both of our booms. Initial ride testing on the trainer and the road, says there isn't enough leg clearance for that to work, tried 8 different types of bottles we have laying around. Unless you focus on it; every 10 strokes or so the thigh rubs the bottle; and...

    Coming out- New Silvio Build

Finding the gear Missed shifts definitely sound like something is out of true; or the shifters; cassette and derailluers are miss matched. (I see people put 10 and 9's together all the time). If they are Shimano compatible then you can google "Shimano Inline Gear Indicator " and add that...
