T50 - Everyone likes a bike you can kick start

Absolutely. You could easily come up with a simple "sawhorse" type stand that would take the place of the rear wheel. Just build something out of 2X4s. Since it is a standard 100mm "front" dropout width, one of those DIY bike transport things (I have two mounted on my trailer, I can't recall...

    CruzBike Exposure at Bike Expos

Make sure your cape doesn't get tangled up in the rear wheel...;)

T50 - Everyone likes a bike you can kick start

Apart from the tin-seat joint not flexing enough to lay back into V20 range, I would say that the rear seat stay isn't going to be adjustable enough to suit. While I'm sure one could cut it down somewhat (as it telescopes, etc.), I would say that an easier route would be to fabricate a set of...

Tips needed on getting more aero with an under seat frame fairing

You would too if you had a moose on yer back. I prefer to be launched by moose.

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

I think Lucia reported that a 26 x 2.5" would fit if you didn't use the wooden fenders. Since the fork tapers in width, a 406 could presumably go wider.

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

My buddy across the street had one of those (in green). He paid the price of having that shifter a couple of times. OW!:eek::( This is what mine looked like (on the right)...until I removed the fenders, added a banana seat and ape-hanger bars. Mine had 24" tires.

T50 - whatcha planning to build.....

Current plan for my Red kit is to go full on 1960's Beach Cruzer: lots of chrome (or polished aluminum), fenders, and fat white-wall tires...even down to the 60's style chain-guard, white grips, etc. I don't know about grip streamers (although my Schwinn "American" had them when I got it in...

I almost own a Vendetta - Learning curve?

@ratz has a tutorial posted here that is excellent. I transitioned from an Optima Baron...(with some intermediate steps in more upright Cruzbikes) and found the V to be quite a bit easier to learn than the Baron.

T50 - Everyone likes a bike you can kick start

AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Miz Diane called and sent me on a minor emergency run. When I logged in to snag a RED one (15min after the start), there was one left...but by the time I processed it...gone. :(

    Visibility Flags

The TerraCycle flag mount is supposed to be one of the better ones. Also, the Purple Sky flags are well regarded on BROL. http://t-cycle.com/purple-sky-flags-c-131/mounts-spare-parts-accessories-c-131_135/terracycle-flag-mount-p-310.html

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

:D Earlier is always good! I worked for a few years in the consumer electronics industry (as QE/QA). Getting any product to market is a very crazy process...full of potholes and butter-slick railroad tracks. The instant you think your product is "perfect" another "OMG-gotta-do-it"...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Latest update: App for iOS has been revealed, Android right behind it. Looks pretty sweet. Even has a function to deal with cable stretch, should you need that. If this system performs as advertised, it is gonna be an amazing thing. Apparently it has sufficient memory for saving the setup for...

Elliptical chain rings don't work ...

Ooooooh. Great idea! Go 1X with a drillium old skool chainring up front. Too bad back in 1980 they were almost all 52 tooth x 144BCD (with 175mm cranks). I think I can remember some 50t chainrings though.

Elliptical chain rings don't work ...

Not pretty enough. Would rather have a set of old-school drilled ("drillium") and/or panto rings. Those Italians know how to make beautiful hardware... Actually, Campy didn't sell them that way. Drilling done by third parties usually.

Elliptical chain rings don't work ...

Crap, I'm an ankler? Will I be shunned? I like my Qrings...but in truth, I can't actually tell any difference in any of the positions. Ok, I spent my money and found no magic pill. Meh. I'm comfy with the fact that they simply look cool. If questioned, I will lie like a dog. Yes, they make me...
