What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I received my Gemini "Duo" http://gemini-lights.com/products/duo headlight yesterday. Took all of a minute to hang on the V20. Charged up the battery pack and...wow! Very bright light with a remote control switch that works perfectly. I have initially mounted this on the chainstay...

    Front Light Mount Method

Totally agree. I ran a pair of Cateyes on my Optima Baron that were mounted to a horizontal bar, about shoulder width apart. I received many compliments on that arrangement, most were of the 'distance estimation' or 'looks like a vehicle' variety. Worst case I ever encountered was a bike with...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

OK, I took the ADEM headrest out for a spin, knowing full well that many 'adjustments' would be needed. What is 'comfy' sitting static doesn't represent what is 'comfy' under power. Sure enough, as soon as I got her on the road, I had to pull over and adjust. Rode another 1/4 mile, made another...

    Be careful out there...

I chose not to ride our local century (Sept 17), for a variety of reasons. Miz Diane and I drove the course the weekend before the ride and it was quite a bit more hilly than advertised ("FLAT METRIC"...right.) and the more I saw of the course, the more I felt like I simply wasn't ready to do...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I'll see what I can do. Miz Diane has many redeeming features...but in the past 30 yrs I've found that she is 'untrainable' as a photographer.:D

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Yah, I imagine the retail price will fluctuate as it progresses thru development/kickstart. @$700, it might be borderline... Depends on what you need. With a mismatched system FD vs RD, this would really be sweet.

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

This just showed up on BROL. http://www.bikerumor.com/2016/09/26/xshifter-brings-wireless-electronic-shifting-bike-derailleur/ Looks pretty cool. At that price point, I'd be interested in trying it out. http://xshifter.com/

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

I adjusted the headrest to suit me while mounted in riding position...but I haven't ridden it with this headrest yet. As ADEM sez on its website, it isn't really a "headrest", it is a "neck rest". It contacts my neck just about in the middle between my shoulders and head. So...my eye-line is...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Yes, I know about the holes...bhis bracket won't fit my light. I will use those holes for my own bracket/adapter. Probably just a piece of "L" shaped aluminum with a couple of mounting holes to adapt to the DesignShine light. Or something else...I haven't put on my tail-light mount thinking-cap...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Yah, it's the "30lb" Gorilla mounting tape. Intended for permanent applications... I was really just looking for the old fashioned standard stuff (which has adhesive sort of like masking tape) but when I saw this stuff, my 'overkill' gene took over and... The good thing is that if...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

More tinkering. Reconfigured for an ADEM headrest. I haven't had much difficulty with the OEM headrest except that it is just a tad tall...the back of my helmet rides on top and gets shoved forward. Not uncomfortably...but once I noticed, it became bothersome. After reading and seeing the ADEM...

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Yah, I will probably test a similar set-up eventually. I've only ridden the OCP#1 position twice now...and only for a few miles with no serious climbing. It feels odd...not bad...but different. I'll be picking up a 36-t QXL to play with soon.

What did you do to your Cruzbike today?

Added a lumbar support (piece of 1/2" workout pad, tapered with breadknife), did some inspection/checks (front brake cable clamp was loose), installed a small wedge storage pouch under the seat for wallet, keys, glasses, etc. Removed Camelbak bladder and actually washed it...inside and out...

Are you running the correct tire pressure?

All of my flats have happened at low speed, I've not gone "down" due to a flat...yet. I haven't had a flat on my V20 but I had one on my V2/K. Like Steve, it took a while for me to notice something was "not right". I got off and the front was flat. I was in 'meandering' mode, so... I'm...

White Mountain Double Century and Final Race for the CA Triple Crown Stage Race

It certainly pisses me off. I haven't had a doughnut* since January...:D *I still get pizza. Sure, it is 'carb free' pizza...any port in a storm!

Emmitt Smith Grand Fondo Century on 9/17/2016 - Results

Approaching Hwy 380, 85 miles. He's about 10 min behind a 4hr pace (as far as I can tell...he's really close). The GPS sheet sez 98.2mi for full route. I'm calculating arrival at mile 87 should be at 11:10 to be on a 4hr pace.
