I just ordered a black frame set will be using some old parts some new. Im in Santa monica or san Diego area if anyone needs help or input with their builds iust pm me.

Im going with Shimano XT 9 speed with short 153 Ultegra crank not sure about wheels yet. I will be selling my Silvio s1 to fund this bike. Brakes Avid BB7 with 160 rotors.

Mark i'm not using mine if you want to try it out you will have to add a few links to your chain is all.

I also do it all the time works great when you need to get going fast.

I'm always ready to show my Silvios Los angeles or San diego areas. Jack

Cut 2 strips from an old tube, wrap them around the chain stays and front fork everything will now stay put when you take out the wheel.

I use these Wald 8095 touring bars on my Silvio 1.0. You can use any shifters you want with the right shims. You dont have to use brifters if you dont like them.

Here is one more shot the frame bag is on the other side and is 2 times larger it will hold a foot long Subway. Jack

Here is another option for bags. The bag is easy to mount I just used a pcv pipe and some line.

short cranks I have 155 105s on my Silvio V1 and 158 Sram Apax on my Silvio V2.1>Bikesmith did them both.Im happy with them. Jack

   Good stuff here I just Good stuff here I just might try it for city riding.The traffic here in Santa Monica is not good and I seem to just miss all the traffic signals so have to stop almost every block just to get to the bike path. Hey im 75 also. Jack

Has anyone tried the 1Up rack on the Silvio? I like the way it folds and lite weight..The people at 1 UP didnt know if it would work or not. Jack

  No top tube is way too No top tube is way too high.

  My X seam is 41.5 in and I My X seam is 41.5 in and I had to move the boom in about 4 inches. What is your X seam?
