Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

I believe it was 28mm on the Silvio v30 you said were possible. I am looking at 25mm tires for the most part. The Vendetta reminds me so much of my Raptobike cockpit that I am starting to lean that way. Tires are easy to change, rims less so. As far as brifters go I am likely going to go...

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Lief, I was just saying to my wife how Lief has taken over the recumbent ambassadorship for the Seattle area. I keep finding pictures of your bikes with other riders on them. I also like how there is starting to be a quorum of riders who can do 50 mile rides here too. I would love to start...

I will work with Robert on that. I really appreciate the help. All the little things matter so much so proper planning is key.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Excellent. Thanks for the tips. I like higher spoke count rims since I am a clydesdale (though I want to correct that too). Lief mentioned that 28mm works with race fenders too.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

A question for anyone still reading the thread. How wide a tire can I fit on a Vendetta v20 or Silvio v30? Any recommendations for a rim?

Great information guys, thank you. The closer to DF wheelbase measurements sure help a lot.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Excellent. I drive a Ford Focus hatchback and have about 59-61" of room to work in. A Hyundai is a good comparator. I am glad to hear the V20 also works. I am getting pretty excited. I have work to do on this weekend on bikes to sell. No N+1 allowed in this household any longer.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Hmm. If it works with both wheels removed that will be fine.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

I will shoot you a note. I am pretty out of shape right now but I am interested in seeing how the MBB makes a difference. One of my issues is that none of my current bikes works well for transport. That is why I am interested in the Silvio V30 vs Vendetta V20, I want the shorter wheelbase.

That picture is great. It supplies a lot of scale and the riders look great.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Hmm. I will talk to Robert about sizing then. I have talked to him more than once at PIR. Unfortunately for me I can't get down to Portland this Memorial Day. When the time comes Robert will be the guy I buy from. I just need to sell my Velo.

Questions re: Silvio from a stickbike/lowracer rider

Hi all, I am strongly considering getting a Silvio V30. I already have CFO approval once certain conditions are met. I am not a tall rider. I am 5'7", 30" inseam, ~40" xseam. I ride a raptobike (FWD lowracer) and a velomobile. I use to own a corsa with 650c wheels. The corsa was on the...

    Where are the Vendettas?

I know some Vendettas have shipped and arrived at homes. Where are the pictures and the ride reports? Here I am sitting in front of my computer while it is sunny out there and just waiting on pictures... Hey, sun in the PNW, I guess it is time to RIDE. I will check back in when it is wet...

    Vendetta Prototype, first pic.

I love the new prototype. I agree that it looks like a headrest is desirable. I can't wait to see more and hear more about the performance and design.

I'm joining you as a likely Silvio owner

I run an internal Hub on my raptobike (FWD lowracer) . I also have been considering the new TT Silvio (when released) and love the simple chain line of my raptobike with rohloff. A rohloff is a bit heavy but the Alfine is pretty light and would be an option. I find internal hubs are very...
