    New Silvio

Beautiful bike!!! I love the Aerospokes on there! Oh yeah, welcome to the board, too! I'm sure you can get another pump. I have two extras and if you happen to have a regular mountin bike shock pump available to you, that will work, too. Mark

    Test ride wanted

I'm not a dealer, but I live fairly close (Redlands). You're more than welcome to try my bike, but it might be a few days. Busy this weekend and next. Maybe a mid-week after work thing would work. Mark

    Steep Hills

First of all, I would suggest reducing tire pressure on the front. Secondly, I would tell you that technique is everything. Are you clipped in? Are you spinning, or mashing? A smooth spin will work wonders for you. Interesting, because I ride a Silvio and have had slippage issues, but...

15% hill climbing and very slow riding

Hi Don, I don't own a Sofrider, but I do ride a Cruzbike. In my experience, climbing hills of that degree can be done, but require excellent technique. You need a buttery smooth spin; mashing will always get the wheel to spin. If your surface is rough and or dirty, it will be tough. You can...

    Subjective Sanity

Hey Yak!! Great to hear from you. I've always said that a bicycle was, to me, a combination therapist and health club. Glad you're still riding. Mark

Hi Murray, Congrats on the new bike. You're going to love it!!! Just curious... Your bike path has hills big enough to require your small chain ring? Mark

    cyclecomputer

I have a Cateye wireless on my Silvio and they are OK. I use a custom made dashboard that puts the computer where you could probably use wired one. http://www.cruzbike.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=193 mark

    Another Quest speed ?

I'd go 26" for several reasons: Ride quality, gearing and tire selection come immediately to mind. Jack, there are guys that would be fast on a child's tricycle. That doesn't mean you or I would be! ;)  Now.... If you are planning on packing and travelling with he bike.... I...

    Under Seat Steering?

I can attest to the upper body fitness you achieve riding a Cruzbike. I can really feel it in my arms and shoulders after a strenuous ride.. It was more noticable when I first started Cruzing, of course, but I can still feel it after a day with a lot of hard climbing. Mark

Are the 451 and 559 Quests the same bike but for the wheels?

It's a different chainstay. The rear yolk is the same for either wheelset, I think Yes. If you look at my bike, my bottom bracket is considerably lower than Jack, or Tom's bikes. Not a bad thing, though I thought it could be. It's all in what you get used to. I put my kit on a 24" kids...

    My 700c' wheels conversion

Re: My 700cc wheels conversion Good looking bike! The handlebar looks awfully low and..... cozy. You can't possibly sit up on the bike, can you? Nice job adapting the child carrier. Mark

Usually, a pinch flat goes right now. 120 will ride like a lumber wagon, IMHO. Mark

    Tour de Palm Springs

Congrats, Tom! I was supposed to do PS this year, but my youngest daughter had a thing. Those people you passed are from our Sunday morning breakfast ride. They're newer riders and this was their first century. As we were enjoying breakfast the next morning, they were talking about seeig a...

Hey, thanks a lot for visiting our forum. As much as I hate your guts for causing me to take several minutes of my life to remove the numerous copies of your SPAM posted, I realize this meant a tremendous amount of work for you, too. I can certainly appreciate the amount of effort that went...
