    Getting ready for winter...

   Hey, hold on a second!... It gets down to near freezing here a few times during the winter. Lows in the 40's, certainly. I know you crazy canucks would be sunbatheing in the 40's, but we think that's pretty darned cold! You're right, though, on the coldest of days...

Oh Cruzbike, you spoiled me rotten

I agree. I just finished up building my wife's replacement bike based on my old Trek 5200 carbon fibre frame. It rides as nice as you can expect; I did three double centuries on it. But when I test rode it the other night..... GOOD LORD!! Mark

13t smallest sprocket problems - much of an issue or no?

Hi Dan, I don't have the answer to your question, but I would like to welcome you to the forum and welcome you to the Silvio club! FWIW, I run a 12t Campy on my Silvio and can't imagine one more tooth causing problems. Stranger things have happened, I guess. Welcome, once again! Mark

    Seat pad care

Take the cover off and wash it with your cycling clothes. I'd probably wash the foam seperately and wring it out best you can and then air dry. Mark

OK ... Help before I surrender

Ahhh, we all went through the struggles. Just remember that your hips are king. When you force the bar to turn left, you are in fact forcing your hips right. So, lean into the turns, but be mindful of your hips because they can really make you or break you... Don't give up, let your body...

    future design modifications?

You make some valid points. There are issues, though, with trying to market the Silvio as a complete bike. The main thing is; every individual is different and this is a high end bike aimed at people that want that sort of performance. The wrong component set-up on a bike with that kind of...

Hit a car, were doing 46,4 kmh almost just before the hit

Wow! Glad you're OK.... Funny, or not so funny, but I had the same exact thing almost happen on my ride to work this morning. In my instance, I had just rounded a corner and was just building momentum back up. I knew the car was there and still in my lane, so I kind of expected him to do...

    Target Cheapie Suitability?

It will work and you''ll have a blast building your bike and take pride in riding a bike you built yourself. From there, it depends on what you expect out of it. Welcome to the club! Mark

    San Diego

Greg, Jack hangs out down there sometime. His was the first Silvio I ever laid my eyes on. If he's going to be down there anytime soon, I'm sure he'll be happy to get together with you. Mark

    Tall riders

Hi Greg, I'm not sure what you mean by "tall". I'm 6' and am comfortable on a Silvio. I suspect it would accomodate much taller, but don't really feel qualified to say how much taller. Mark

    Suitable for Conversion?

It'll probably work, but you may need a stepladder to get on the bike!

    new silvio ergonomics questions

Regarding finger and joint pain: I never really went through that with my Silvio, but I sure did on my conversion. I was trying to emulate the Superman position and I was over-reaching, I think. Not too much from "normal" recumbents really translate well to Cruzbikes. They seem to be their...

    Silvio Car Rack?

I think somebody on the Yahoo board had reworked a trunk rack to accomodate a Silvio. Any help here? Mark
