    platform pedals

Ken Perhaps the MKS Ezy removable pedals would be the answer? :) I have the MM-Cube Ezy and XP Ezy pedals myself but as I usually only use my front-wheel drive recumbent on longer pleasure rides, I have switched to Shimano M324 clipless/platform pedals as I'm more usually clipped in.

    New Sofrider

Trevski Try moving the cleats on your shoes as far back in the slots towards the heel as they'll go. I usually find that eases the numb toes problem. :) I had the benefit of being able to experiment easily, years back when I had a Trice Micro recumbent trike. ;) :)

    First ride - New Sofrider

Thanks Ken. I see what you mean now. A bit of weight saving there, I guess. :) I had to drill and tap my Sofrider swing arm to achieve the same effect.

    First ride - New Sofrider

There is a thread about fitting racks onto the rear swing arm of the Sofrider/Freerider here. Before I fitted my swing arm type rack on my Sofrider, I used a seat post mounted, Topeak MTX BeamRack (A-Type).

    Silvio in Idaho Falls, ID

Hi slowjoe Welcome to the Cruzbike forums. :) It would probably be better to post your Silvio advert in the Buy and Sell .. Upgrade! area of the forums rather than as an off-topic post in this thread. ;) :) Where is SD BTW? Is that a state of the USA? :?

Welcome to the Cruzbike forums laguy. :) It might be helpful to give folks a little more info about yourself and what you're hoping to achieve. ;) :) Have you ridden a Cruzbike before? What country are you from? Will you be commuting on the bike? et cetera BTW I have a Shimano...

Great looking bike, a few questions please..

Thanks for all of the explanations JT. I'll bow to your superior knowledge of the construction of the Quest. I only suggested the expanding bolt idea as my original sleeve idea was starting to sound a bit overcomplicated. I agree that expanding bolts have their place and I guess that due to...

Great looking bike, a few questions please..

John, I had assumed that the welded tube end that I could see, passed right through the bottom, eye end of the shock absorber and was welded at its other end again to the other side of the swing arm. I thought that the eye end of the shock had some sort of split collar clamp where it fitted over...

Cant find a suitable donor bike?

If you are struggling to find a suitable donor bike, then I notice that the Sofrider/Freerider V2 frameset is now available for $229 (USD) on the Cruzbike web shop. :) You'll still need a conversion kit, a suitable front fork and all of the cycle parts though. ;) :)

Great looking bike, a few questions please..

Does the Quest have mounting points/threaded holes in its rear swinging arm and front forks for fenders/mudguards?
  20. Gromit

Great looking bike, a few questions please..

The large hole through the rear swinging arm is obviously the end of the tube that the rear shock attaches to. A piece of tubing with screw threads in each end could be slid through this rear shock tube to form a mount for the front of a swinging arm rack. If it was slightly shorter than the...
