Yup, I applied same logic. It was nice and solid and will work until I apply a more permanent solution. I went thru some updates but not sure it was firmware specific to the Kickr Snap. I'll be sure to check this evening. Thanks!

Ok, the 135mm skewer worked fine. I was able to get the damn thing up and running and eventually discovered how to control the Snap via the Wahoo software. Did my initial spin downs, etc. I only had a 15min window to ride, so I simply messed around with the erg, eventually stabilizing at 150w...

Ok, I have an interim fix in place. It will work until I find the time to go for a 'better' option. I found a 135mm skewer (the original that came with the V20, I think) which, while it isn't perfect (only has about 3 threads engaged in the nut), will work until I find a 140+ skewer. The...

Figures you would find one with yer name on it. :D I had looked at that one but wasn't sure the QR end would fit the Kickr Snap. I talked to the folks at Wahoo Fitness...but no joy. It looks like they have an adapter that would work but the guy I talked to didn't really sound like he...

It's 135mm, but a standard 135 skewer is too short (the 'double thickness' V20 dropouts add ~10mm...I'm guessing). I think the skewer they provided is 130mm. It looks like Wahoo sells a 142mm 'adapter' skewer that might work. I'm going to call them today. I would like to have both ends steel...

Kickr Snap arrived tonight... :) The skewer supplied with the unit isn't long enough to do the job on the V20. The fancy DT Swiss skewer I use is incompatible with the Kickr Snap mount. Now what? What skewer do y'all use...and where do I get one?

    Q ring upgrade - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh......

Thanks for reminding me that I meant to order a QXL 36 (some time ago). Done!

Marc Smith is a little more on the plus side of "maybe". I broached the subject with Miz Diane this weekend...and she didn't kill it outright. Camel's nose under the tent! ===Marc

My V20 has been so good this year that Santa is bringing it a Kickr Snap. Should be here next week. I've been reviewing all the 4f stuff, etc.

    UV protection

I have both arm and leg sleeves, bought them in July and have only used them a couple of times. First time I rode with them, I thought I'd burn up (95F+ outside) but when I stopped and wet them down, they kept me nice and cool...when moving. Incentive not to stop moving! I slather exposed skin...

    Sebring 2017 newbie

I would like to add to the Vendetta Squadron but I can't commit until the week it is happening...I'd just be a "recreational" century rider anyway. No way I could do a 12hr ride...of course, considering my abilities, my Century might take 12 hrs... ;) Hmmm. Its an 11+ hr drive from here to...

There's a 'ridewithgps' map of the track here: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/6639435 I believe there are three segments to ride for the 12/24 that include a couple laps of the actual track and then a "long loop" and a "short loop".

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

From what I've read, the shifter options are "choose one". So, you can either get a standard shifter, the "road" shifter or the TT shifter. In talking with Paul, the shifters will also be available separately and can be used together, say if you wanted one on the left for the FD and one on the...

Ol'Yellow get a New Facelift after 11.6K Miles

Brake lever travel: I simply adjusted it to suit me. I had no instructions with mine...and didn't figure out the lock until after the first couple of tries. Would have been a lot easier with your sequence. I ran out of adjustment. Ended up clamping the cable off with a pair of vice-grips and...

    Radical bike rack

I grew up in light aircraft (my parents owned two, I soloed in sailplanes in 1974 and powered in 1978) and am a licensed A&P mechanic (which I haven't done since the early 1980's...same with flying). Too damned expensive to fly recreationally these days, and like the OPs picture, a little...

Ol'Yellow get a New Facelift after 11.6K Miles

My TRP HY/RD brakes were surprisingly poor for the first few rides. I have two other bikes which I fitted with Avid mechanical and Hyd brakes, neither of which required a bedding period. Not surprisingly, my first downhill stop was more of a 'slowing'... The rear disc especially was almost...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Which I find intensely funny. I can just see me bombing down the MUT yelling, "2! Dammit, I said 2!" Or more like the SyFy channel, I sneeze and the damn thing shifts me into a parallel universe full of tire-chewing zombies.

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

While I really dig the 'bells and whistles', I think I might like 'dirt simple' too; say, a single button on the left for the FD and a two-position rocker button on the right for the RD. Basic shifting, up/down and maybe a hold-the-button function for large jumps. Done. No cup-holder, no...

    XShifter...new wireless shifting option

Latest from xshifter... They announced a bar-end remote today. Basically just the same wireless shifting pad with a body that plugs into any bar (TT type or whatever). https://www.facebook.com/thexshifter/

To chamois, or not to chamois, that is the question

link: http://www.kucharikclothing.com/recumbent-shorts-bib-6-panel-p-104.html I haven't bought from Kucharik but they appear to have stuff that is big enough for us, "ahem", larger folk. ;) Personally, I have simply removed any pre-existing pads from all my recumbent bike-wear. I have a set of...
