Jon I installed a variation of your rack design on my Sofrider V2. I'll post some pictures here one day. I used a Topeak Super Tourist DX rack. This has pannier rails below the top of the rack. http://www.topeak.com/products/Racks/SuperTouristDXTubularRack

I'm pretty short John. My seat is all the way forward. The boom on my Sofrider V2 is set at five and a half on the scale. Do you think I would have problems with a triple?

John Will the FD bracket fit on a V2 Sofrider/Freerider as well? Or is it specific to the Silvio? Wouldn't mind some lower gears on my Sofrider.

Strange place for a water bottle bracket. Wouldn't it be better to use the holes in the seat back? Perhaps you don't use the bracket to house a water bottle? Lighting set battery?
