    Vendetta arrived work in progress

Indeed, once I get the headrest and seat on I can do a loose fit check. I am taking my time and going slowly through the build. I should be at the coastable stage this evening.

    Vendetta arrived work in progress

My Vendetta arrived this afternoon. As it was fully disassembled I am in the middle of a bike build. After a trip to the LBS to buy a few tools I am at this point in the build: Vendetta Build in progress by Duncan Watson, on Flickr The front wheel setup confused me for a bit but once I sussed...

    Hoodoo 500 stage race

I liked some of the pictures Rich posted on BROL. This one in particular shows the different profiles of the CA2 and Vendetta well This was an amazing effort and a very impressive race.

How long to learn to ride?

You should see me take that turn on the Velo . The other nasty turn is on the Sammamish trail near where it gets to the Burke Gilman. A 90 degree turn onto the bridge then a sharp 120 turn off the bridge and downhill. I take both of those turns with feet off of the pedals and sitting...

How long to learn to ride?

Abbott Sounds good. I will be assembling on Friday, finalizing and troubleshooting on Saturday. A friend of mine whom I always get in trouble with his family wants to go riding and so I will be driving into the city on Sat/Sun/Mon (day open) to ride with him. I hope he doesn't get in trouble...

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

I run a zotefoam pad on my Raptobike and no pad on my Velomobile. I am very excited as my Vendetta arrives on Friday. I have the day off and sun has been pencilled in for the weekend.

    Climbing and Sprinting technical talk

You might be surprised by how much force I can exert on my raptobike handlebars. I have it setup with a fixed tiller and can really haul on it. bike parked at Woodinville Commons by Duncan Watson, on Flickr

How long to learn to ride?

My Raptobike is FWD and a lowracer. Parking and Walking are skills I don't think I will have issues with. The real difficult thing to learn is how to walk a velomobile.

    Hoodoo 500 stage race

Lief and Rich finished the first stage at the same time. Rich is nominally #2 and Lief #3. Quite a hot day for such a great performance in the mountains.

How long to learn to ride?

I suspect the figure 8s will help me with how to turn while using feet and hands to effect said turn. Since my current bikes are FWD but not MBB that will be a new experience.

    Hoodoo 500 stage race

Is anyone else watching the stage race on the gps tracking page? http://hoodoo500.com/live-tracking/ Lief is doing well. Averaging about 17.8 mph and in the pack of 4 who are in the lead. Earlier he was in the second pack of 2 but he and Rich caught up to the leaders. hoodoo500 by Duncan...

    New Cruzbike.com launching soon

The comparison chart on the records page between upright bikes, fixed boom recumbents and cruzbikes has Hill climbing comparable to traditional bike listed twice, one at line 6 and again on line 14.

How long to learn to ride?

I know I have read a number of learning threads. Most recently the one titled elevated seat . My current raptobike is sidelined due to some adjustments and I don't want to pile money into right now. I will be replacing the brakes, rear wheel and lights before I am done. The Vendetta I bought...

Recumbent bicycle run Paris - Brest 2015

If you can find a frame number from the ride you can see the results for that rider here: http://suivi.paris-brest-paris.org/ . I found one such number here on facebook https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=920561601319478&set=gm.1120511817976952&type=1 F045 - looks like 83h38min

    New Cruzbike.com launching soon

The cruzbike blog link goes to a pretty ugly domain name : 03bbf98.netsolhost.com http://03bbf98.netsolhost.com/blog/2015/08/17/cruzbike-racers-take-on-the-hoodoo-500/ As a network guy I would clean that up by putting it within the cruzbike.com domain, such as blog.cruzbike.com.

    thoughts from a smaller rider

I think you will be able to make it work. The issue that may arise is your view of the road through the cockpit. If you can sit on a V, even one sized incorrectly you can find out how your road view would look. That might be good. I was able to sit on Lief's Vendetta and Silvio which made me...

    thoughts from a smaller rider

No worries, I am 5'7" myself with a 40.5" x-seam. Those pictures are excellent and show where the BB moves to when setup for a smaller rider. Thank you. You can see the advantage in those shots. Maria's crank would have hard interference with the wheel if it was set up like that on a fixed...

    thoughts from a smaller rider

I wish there was a general forum. One of the things that attracts me to the Cruzbike MBB FWD platform is how the elimination of crank/wheel interference allows the design to accommodate shorter riders on 700c equipped bikes. I sold my 650c Corsa to Tim Turner years ago. I could ride it but...

    New V20 build input

Listen to this man. I recently had to change chainrings and sprocket on my raptobike for this very reason. Nothing like changing the chain on your bike and then finding that application of any power results in the chain skipping off worn teeth.

    Waiting on a box...

I am very excited. I expect to spend some real time testing and learning the MBB format. But I have great hopes. Roberts recent videos on how to adjust seat, boom, headrest, etc are a great resource as well. I want to stay fit over the winter and will ride as much as I can over the rainy...
