    Waiting on a box...

I did it. I bought Rat Rider's Vendetta TT. The last yellow Vendetta :) So now we do the dance and wait for checks to clear and boxes to be delivered. Since I own a lowracer I have all the bike bag solutions I need to make the Vendetta work. I have a co-worker with a sewing machine and some...

Rack solution for the Silvio 2.1

I have been watching PBP 2015 videos to see what the Paris Brest Paris Cruzbikers are doing for on-bike storage. (see PBP thread for info). I have seen a number of things. Moose is using the Apidura mid-pack for the big stuff and his custom moose pockets for small stuff (tools, rain jacket...

    PBP 2015

In the later videos I was able to spot more Cruzbikes. I saw a lot of MBB zockras as well. The third video provides some interesting footage to compare the side profile of various recumbents. It is obvious how high stick bikes are compared to the M5 CHR and the CHR compared to the Vendetta...

    PBP 2015

Moose is riding his Silvio and I spotted three Vendettas and a Silvio Start: Near Start: 18+ hours in: Vendettas can be found in all of the shots and I found it interesting how low they are compared to stick bikes.

    those darn laws.....

Abbot What meter do you use? I have a pebble watch and it links to my phone. If I can dig up the API used to get data from your meter I'll bet it wouldn't be hard to make a pebble watchface to display it. My pebble watch is ~$100, waterproof and has ~7 day battery life. It wouldn't be a HUD...

    Vendetta finally tested

Lowest speed? I am in. I can go slow on my raptobike, very very slow :). Bringing my trike to this would be cheating.

    LOL My day job

I do a lot of ad hoc analysis during integrations. That means I am writing things like "find . -type f -name asset\*xml | xargs grep posterBoardPath | awk -F = '{print $2}' | sort | uniq -c" or similar. It varies. I like python a lot. In 1999 I swore off perl since I couldn't maintain it...

    LOL My day job

I do a variety of things though the regex xkcd is more me*. I left IT in the 90s. But since your average IT dept nowadays doesn't know unix I moonlight on occasion. When all the developers are on linux and target embedded platforms it can make IT nervous. *no perl though. awk, python, sed...
